The Lansing JazzFest is a free music festival that takes place each year in the summer in Lansing, Michigan. Lansing, Michigan
Lansing () is the capital of the U.S. state of Michigan. It is mostly in Ingham County, although portions of the city extend west into Eaton County and north into Clinton County. WLNZ
WLNZ (89.7 FM broadcasting, FM) is a non-commercial radio station located in Lansing, Michigan, simulcasting the regional Michigan Radio network of public radio stations. The station is owned by Lansing Community College. History Originally WLNZ wanted to be branded as WLNS, however, WLNS had already been taken by WLNS-TV, a local CBS affiliate, so it landed on WLNZ. Technical The station began broadcasting in 1994 with 100 watts. Power was increased to 420 watts in 2001. WLNZ began broadcasting in HD in 2006. Sheila Landis
Sheila Catherine Landis (born September 10, 1953, Detroit, Michigan, United States) is an American jazz, R&B vocalist and songwriter. In 1981, Landis formed her own label, SheLan Records, initially releasing five albums of self-penned material. These original vinyl recordings are avidly sought out world-wide by jazz record collectors. Much of this material has been released internationally on Counterpoint Records UK and Celeste/Vivid Sound in Japan. In 1990, Landis began working with guitarist/producer Rick Matle in live performance and in the studio. Together they have released over 10 recordings.
