Lansdowne High School (LHS), formerly known as Lansdowne Sr. High School, and currently known as the Lansdowne High School Academy for Advanced Professional Studies, is a four-year public high school in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. About the School The school is located in the far southwest corner of Baltimore County right near the Baltimore City line. It is at 3800 Hollins Ferry Road in Lansdowne, Maryland, just west of Maryland Route 295, inside the Baltimore Beltway. Baltimore Highlands, Maryland
Baltimore Highlands is a census-designated place (CDP) in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States, directly south of the city of Baltimore. The population was 7,019 at the 2010 census. At the 2000 census and earlier, the area was delineated as part of the Lansdowne-Baltimore Highlands CDP. History In the area known as Baltimore Highlands is a legendary mansion called English Consul. The land and house were owned by William Dawson, the first English Consul to Maryland. One legend claims that Dawson had a brother who was transported from England to America in disgrace. Each year he was to receive a whip lashing as punishment for the crime he had committed. Occupying the campus of the former Southern High School, it is currently one of two secondary schools and a comprehensive high school that specializes in information technology of Baltimore. History The vision for Digital Harbor High School started in 2000 when then-Baltimore schools chief Carmen V. Russo wanted to create a high school for computer studies in downtown Baltimore. Catonsville High School (CHS) is a four-year public high school in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is located on the southwest side of the county close to the Baltimore City border near Anne Arundel and Howard County, just outside the Baltimore Beltway. History Catonsville High School is located on 421 Bloomsbury Avenue at the intersection with South Rolling Road, having a Catonsville, Maryland, mailing address. The school was named after the unincorporated area of Catonsville. The original school can trace its roots to Catonsville School, formed in 1903.
