''Lanka'' is a 2011 Indian drama-thriller film directed by Maqbool Khan and produced by Vikram Bhatt under BVG Films associating ASA Production and Enterprises Pvt. Ltd.The film stars Manoj Bajpayee, Arjan Bajwa and Tia Bajpai in the lead roles. It was released on 20 October 2011. Plot Lanka is a modern take on the Ramayana with Sita's life being saved by Vibhishan (Raavan's brother) from Raavan. The movie "Lanka" begins in the present day Mumbai with Anju narrating about her past. Jaswant Sisodia is the don of a small town in UP, India called Bijnor. He rules the place and the police and politicians support him. He is in love with Anju, a doctor. Her father is the Chief Medical Officer of Bijnor. Anju is actually sexually exploited by Sisodia. Vikram Bhatt
Vikram Bhatt (born 27 January 1969) is an Indian director, producer, screenwriter and actor. He is best known for directing the Raaz (film series), ''Raaz'' film series, an Indian horror series produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt and for directing ''Ghulam (film), Ghulam'' (1999) starring Aamir Khan and Rani Mukherji, which was also produced by Mukesh Bhatt. For both of these he was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Director. Formerly, he was the creative head of ASA Productions and Enterprises until 2014, when he resigned from the company. 4th Mirchi Music Awards
The 4th Mirchi Music Awards, presented by the Radio Mirchi, honoured the best of Hindi music from the year 2011. The ceremony was held on 21 March 2012 at the Bhavan's College Ground (Andheri), Mumbai and was hosted by Shaan and Usha Uthup. There were many performances, including those by Saif Ali Khan, Parikrama, Shreya Ghoshal, Bappi Lahiri and Mika Singh.
