Langworth is a small unincorporated community in Stanislaus County, California, United States and is 3 miles west of Oakdale, California. History Langworth is located on part of the 8 square league Rancho Thompson granted by Mexican Governor Pío Pico to Alpheus Basil Thompson in 1846. Oakdale is a city in the San Joaquin Valley and Stanislaus County, California. It is part of the Modesto Metropolitan Statistical Area. Oakdale goes by the slogan "Cowboy Capital of the World." The Stanislaus River is a tributary of the San Joaquin River in north-central California in the United States.
