Landsdale, Western Australia
Landsdale is a northern suburb of Perth, Western Australia located within the local government area of the City of Wanneroo. It is mixed use, with residential, commercial and light manufacturing areas. History In the late 1990s, Landsdale began to develop from market gardens and small rural lots into residential development. Until 1997–1998, prior to the separation by the City of Wanneroo of the suburbs of Darch and Madeley, Landsdale enclosed a much larger area extending westwards to Wanneroo Road. Facilities The main commercial precinct is known as Landsdale Gardens and includes most of the facilities of the area, such as a small medical complex, the Warradale centre (named after Warradale Park), parks and reserves, lakes, walking trails, Landsdale Forum shopping centre. City Of Wanneroo
The City of Wanneroo is a local government area with city status in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. It is centred approximately north of Perth's central business district and forms part of the northern boundary of the Perth metropolitan area. Wangara encompasses the federal divisions of Cowan, Moore and Pearce. The city's main commercial and residential town centres are located at Wanneroo in the east and Clarkson in the north. Further urban centres are planned at Alkimos, Yanchep and Two Rocks in the future to coincide with rapid metropolitan expansion and development in the area. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Warwick Railway Station, Perth
Warwick railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Joondalup line, from Perth station serving the suburb of Warwick. History Prior to the commissioning of the site as a railway station, the location was originally a bus interchange known as the Warwick Bus Station. Opened in 1987, it was similar in design and appearance to facilities constructed at Mirrabooka and Rockingham for the same purpose. Whitfords Railway Station
Whitfords railway station is a railway station located on the boundary of Padbury and Kingsley, suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. It is on the Joondalup railway line, which is part of the Transperth commuter rail network. It is located in the median of the Mitchell Freeway, and consists of an elevated bus interchange on top of an island platform at ground level. South of Whitfords, trains run every 5 minutes during peak. North of Whitfords, trains run every 10 minutes during peak. Between peak during the day, trains run every 15 minutes. Swan Transit is an Australian bus company operating Transperth services under contract to the Public Transport Authority. It is a subsidiary of Transit Systems. History On 21 January 1996, Swan Transit commenced operating services in the Midland area with 43 buses. On 29 September 1996, Swan Transit commenced operating services in the Canning Vale and Southern River areas from depots in Canning Vale and Southern River with 119 Mercedes-Benz and Renault buses. History On 29 September 1996, Path Transit commenced operating services in the Marmion and Wanneroo areas from depots in Joondalup and Karrinyup with 191 Mercedes-Benz and Renault buses. In January 1998, Path Transit gained further services in the Joondalup North area followed on 5 July 1998 by services in the Morley area. In 1998, a new depot was opened in Wangara. Transperth is the brand name of the public transport system serving the city and suburban areas of Perth, the state capital of Western Australia. Gnangara Road
Gnangara Road is an arterial east-west road in Perth, Western Australia. It is located within the northern suburbs of Perth, from Madeley in the west, to Henley Brook in the east. Gnangara Road provides a connection between Great Northern Highway (via West Swan Road) and Wanneroo Road. The construction of the Ocean Reef Road extension in 2011 altered the road network in the Landsdale area in Landsdale. The plans show Gnangara Road as discontinuous between Mirrabooka Avenue and Alexander Drive, with the Mirrabooka Avenue and Ocean Reef Road extensions linking the two sections. Alexander Drive
Alexander Drive is a major north–south arterial road in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, connecting Perth's central business district (CBD) with Edith Cowan University's Mount Lawley campus and the Malaga industrial area, as well as newer development suburbs to Perth's north. Tee-ball (also teeball, tee ball or T-ball) is a team sport based on a simplified form of baseball or softball. It is intended as an introduction for children aged 4 to 6 to develop ball-game skills and have fun.
