Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi
Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi (c. 1714 – 1787) was an Italian master luthier who was active in the 18th century during the golden age of stringed instrument making. Landolfi is considered among the half dozen finest stringed instrument makers in history, along with Stradivarius and Guarneri del Gesu and Pietro Guarneri. Instruments created centuries ago by Landolfi and his fellow Italian luthiers have not been improved upon despite modern technology and are still played by the finest violinists and violists in the great concert halls across the world. Landolfi was born in Milan, Italy in 1714 and after an apprenticeship in Cremona, Italy, he returned to Milan in 1734, age 20, and created his workshop. As his instrument labels indicate, he worked "Contrada Santa Margherita, al Segno della Sirena," in the central metropolis of Italy's Lombardy region, at the center of the city's busy mercantile and artistic activities. Idolina Landolfi
Maria Idolina Landolfi (born 19 May 1958 in Rome – died 27 June 2008 in Florence) was an Italian novelist, poet and literary critic. She was daughter of the writer Tommaso Landolfi and the principal curator of his works. In 1996 she founded the ''Landolfian Studies Center'', of which she was the president until her death. He collaborated on the cultural pages of the newspaper Il Giornale until May 2008. Her personal library was donated to the Humanist Library of Siena. Tommaso Landolfi
Tommaso Landolfi (9 August 1908 – 8 July 1979) was an Italian writer, translator and literary critic. His numerous grotesque tales and novels, sometimes on the border of speculative fiction, science fiction and Realism (arts), realism, place him in a unique and unorthodox position among Italian writers. He won a number of awards, including the prestigious Strega Prize. Mario Landolfi (born 6 June 1959) is an Italian politician, served as a member of the parliament and minister of communications. Early life Landolfi was born in Mondragone, the province of Caserta, on 6 June 1959. Career Landolfi was a council member of Mondragone beginning in 1983. He became a member of the Italian parliament in June 2001, being part of the National Alliance party. In addition, Landolfi served as the spokesman of the AN. Lino Landolfi
Lino Landolfi (6 April 1925 – 11 February 1988) was an Italian cartoonist. Born in Rome, Landolfi attended various art schools including the Accademia where he studied painting, sculpture, decorating and scenery. He debuted as a cartoonist in 1947 with the character of "Joe", published by ''Corriere dei Piccoli''. In 1951 he created his most popular character, Procopio, realized for the magazine ''Il Vittorioso'' until 1968. In 1968, he changed his usual graphic style for a critically appreciated grotesque-realistic version of ''Don Quixote'' published by ''Vitt''.
