Alan Landers (born Alan Stewart Levine) (November 30, 1940 – February 27, 2009) was an American male model and actor, best known as the "Winston Man", who appeared in advertising for Winston cigarettes. Biography Born in Brooklyn, New York on November 30, 1940, he started to smoke "before is bar mitzvah". He enlisted in the United States Army at 17, where smoking breaks of five minutes each hour helped in the development of a two-and-a-half pack per day smoking habit. Modeling After leaving military service, Landers took acting classes in New York and worked as a model, appearing in numerous fashion magazines, including being featured in a ''Playgirl'' centerfold. He also appeared in ''Cosmopolitan'', '' GQ'' and ''Vogue''. Walter James Landers (born July 4, 1953) is an American former professional football player in the National Football League (NFL). Landers was born on July 4, 1953, in Lanett, Alabama, and attended Clark Atlanta University. Landers went undrafted in the 1978 NFL draft; he signed as a running back with the Green Bay Packers and played four games in the 1978 NFL season. His season ended though after injuring his knee in a game against San Diego. After being on injured reserve, Landers was waived by the Packers at the beginning of the 1979 NFL season before being resigned. He played in nine games that season, starting one. Rodney Landers (born May 13, 1986) is a former American football player. He played college football as the starting quarterback for the James Madison Dukes of James Madison University (JMU). He was not selected in the 2009 NFL Draft, where due to his speed and flexibility he had been considered a potential defensive back, running back, wide receiver, or quarterback prospect. He spent time with the Richmond Revolution as a back-up Quarterback, Receiver and Return Specialist. Early years Landers was born in Bethesda, Maryland and grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he attended Tallwood High School. He played as a quarterback and as senior threw for 815 yards and eight touchdowns and ran for 644 yards and 11 touchdowns. Robert Landers (born January 6, 1944) is an American cattle farmer and golfer who gained fame in 1995 by playing on the Senior PGA Tour. From Azle, Texas, Landers took up golf at the relatively late age of 28. Despite an unorthodox swing, a preference for playing in sneakers instead of golf shoes, and using golf clubs that he assembled himself, Landers became a popular figure by making the Senior PGA Tour (now called the Champions Tour) after receiving his card at qualifying school, and was followed by fans who called themselves the "Moo Crew." Mark Landers (born 13 July 1972) is an Irish hurling coach and former hurling, hurler. He is the coach of Cork Senior Hurling Championship, Cork Senior Championship club Bride Rovers GAA, Bride Rovers. Landers played for East Cork club Killeagh GAA, Killeagh and was a member of the Cork senior hurling team for six seasons, during which time he usually lined out at midfield. Landers began his hurling career at club level with Killeagh. John Joe Landers
John Joseph Landers (23 April 1907 – 27 August 2001) was an Irish Gaelic footballer, Gaelic games administrator and republican activist. His league and championship career at senior level for the Kerry county team spanned twelve years from 1927 to 1938. Landers has been described as "one of erry' greatest football legends". Raised in Tralee, County Kerry, Landers was one of six children born to the former Catherine Roche and Garrett Landers. Robert John "Bob" Landers (1940-1996) was an Australian professional rugby league footballer in the New South Wales Rugby League competition for the Eastern Suburbs and Penrith clubs. A long-striding , Landers played with the Eastern Suburbs club from (1959-1965) and played in the Roosters 1960 grand final loss to St. George. He was a student of St Josephs’ College in Sydney. Andrew Grady Landers (born October 8, 1952) is a retired American college basketball coach who was head women's basketball coach at the University of Georgia from 1979 to 2015. Landers graduated from Friendsville (Tenn.) High School in 1970, then attended and graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 1974 with a degree in Physical Education.
