Lan Luang Road
Lan Luang Road ( th, ถนนหลานหลวง, , ; sometimes ''Larn Luang'') is a road in Bangkok, it runs in a short distance of just about 1.5 km (1,500 ft). The road starts at Phan Fa Lilat Bridge straight to the east, cut across Krung Kasem Road and crossed canal Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem to meet three other roads Phitsanulok, Phetchaburi and Sawan Khalok at the Yommarat Intersection, where the Yommarat Railway Halt situated. It was built in the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), about in the year 1903. The King named it ''Lan Luang'', which means "royal nephew", because it runs through the palaces of the six princes (all of them are sons of Prince Chaturonrasmi, the King's younger brother). While the bridge across Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem was named the King, Chaturaphak Rangsarit. Previously, the area the road passed was considered a suburb and was a place to raise the royal buffalo. Yommarat Intersection
Yommarat ( th, ยมราช) is a Thai noble title historically given to the minister of the Krom Mueang or Nakhonban, one of the four ministries under the ''chatusadom'' system, charged with keeping the peace in the capital. Holders of the title were usually given the high rank of ''phraya'' or ''chaophraya''. Si Yaek Maha Nak Subdistrict
Si Yaek Maha Nak ( th, สี่แยกมหานาค, ) is a sub-district (''khwaeng'') of Dusit district, Bangkok. History The name ''Si Yaek Maha Nak'' means "Maha Nak Intersection" or "Maha Nak Four Corners". It's a water intersection. This area is famous for its past floating market. The name "Maha Nak" is named after Khlong Maha Nak (คลองมหานาค; Maka Nak canal). The canal has a starting point at the Khlong Rop Krung (คลองรอบกรุง; lit: ''around the city canal''), which is part of the old city moat (Rattanakosin Island), from Saphan Mahat Thai Uthit (Mahat Thai Uthit bridge) near Ratchadamnoen avenue and then Mahakan fort passes through to the east. In this area it confluence with Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem (Phadung Krung Kasem canal) and flowing continuously to meet with Khlong Saen Saep (Saen Saep canal) at Ban Khrua quarter. Bangkok, officially known in Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon and colloquially as Krung Thep, is the capital and most populous city of Thailand.
