Lampsi
Lampsi (Greek: ''Η Λάμψη'', English: ''The Shine'') was the longest running series in Greek television, among the most famous in Greece and Bulgaria. It was aired for more than 14 years by the Greek television station ANT1 nearly every day. Bulgarian television network Nova Television aired "Shine", dubbed in Bulgarian from 2000 to 2010. It began broadcasting on 16 September 1991 and the last episode was released on 29 July 2005. In total 3,457 episodes were broadcast in 14 years. A total of 150,000 dialogues pages were written for 190 stories, involving 1,500 actors, seven directors and countless technicians. A soap opera, or ''soap'' for short, is a typically long-running radio or television serial, frequently characterized by melodrama, ensemble casts, and sentimentality. Ekaterini "Katia" Dandoulaki ( el, Κάτια Δανδουλάκη; born May 16, 1948) is a Greek theatre, television and film actress. She is best known for her role as protagonist Virna Drakou on the Greek television series '' Lampsi'' in the 1990s. Katia also starred in the series I Zoi tis Allis, which surpassed 70% of the ratings and in Vals me 12 Theous in 2012 with at least 60% ratings on the Ant1 network. Nikos Foskolos ( el, Νίκος Φώσκολος; 26 November 1927 – 30 October 2013) was a Greek screenwriter and director. He is one of the most commercially successful screenwriters of Greek cinema. He has been called the "Goldfinger of commercial shows". He has been described as "the ''maître'' of exaggeration" and "the king of TV shows". Antenna, better known as ANT1, is a television network airing in Greece. The alternate spelling is wordplay in Greek; ''ena'' (ένα) is the Greek number ''1'' (one), thus ''ANT1'' is pronounced the same as ''Antenna'' (Αντέννα). Giorgos Vasiliou (actor)
Giorgos Vasilou ( el, Γιώργος Βασιλείου; June 21, 1950 – November 2, 2016) was a Greek actor, politician and former footballer. He was also a deputy in the Second Piraeus Region with the New Democracy party from 2004 to 2007 and honorary president of the Charity Department of Cooperative Savings in Larnaca, Cyprus.
