Lamont Butler
Lamont Butler (born June 9, 2002) is an American college basketball player for San Diego State Aztecs of the Mountain West Conference. Early life and high school Butler grew up in and Moreno Valley, California and attended Riverside Polytechnic High School. He was a four-year starter for the school and broke the school's career scoring record, which was previously held by Reggie Miller. Butler was rated a three-star recruit and committed to play college basketball at San Diego State over offers from Saint Mary's, Stanford, Washington, California, Colorado, USC, Boise State, and Utah State. College career Butler played in 28 games with two starts during his freshman season at San Diego State, averaging 4.3 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. The Utah State Aggies are a Division I men's college basketball team that plays in the Mountain West Conference, representing Utah State University. The 2022–23 Florida Atlantic Owls men's basketball team represented Florida Atlantic University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Owls were led by fifth-year head coach Dusty May and played their home games at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena in Boca Raton, Florida as members of Conference USA. In basketball and other such timed sports, a buzzer beater is a shot that is taken before the game clock of a quarter, a half (if the half is the second one, then, a game), or an overtime period expires but does not go in the basket until after the clock expires and the buzzer sounds hence the name "buzzer beater". The concept normally applies to baskets that beat an end-of-quarter/half/overtime buzzer but is sometimes applied to shots that beat the shot clock buzzer.
