Lammas Limited
Lammas Limited was a manufacturer of motor cars from 1936 to 1938 based in Sunbury-on-Thames, UK. Their cars were built on a chassis bought in from Graham in the United States, the cars being known as Lammas-Graham. Unlike the American originals, 12-volt electrics were used. Coachwork was bought in and was a choice of a sports saloon version from Carlton or Bertelli, a drophead coupé from Abbott or a sports tourer from Bertelli. The cars cost between £620 and £695. Sunbury-on-Thames
Sunbury-on-Thames (or commonly Sunbury) is a suburban town on the north bank of the River Thames in the Borough of Spelthorne, Surrey, centred southwest of central London. Historically part of the county of Middlesex, in 1965 Sunbury and other surrounding towns were initially intended to form part of the newly created county of Greater London but were instead transferred to Surrey. Sunbury adjoins Feltham to the north, Hampton, London, Hampton to the east, Ashford, Middlesex, Ashford to the northwest and Shepperton to the southwest. Walton-on-Thames is to the south, on the opposite bank of the Thames. The town has two main focal points: Lower Sunbury (known locally as Sunbury Village) is the older part, adjoining the river. Graham-Paige
Graham-Paige was an American automobile manufacturer founded by brothers Joseph B. Graham (1882-1970), Robert C. Graham (1885-1967), and Ray A. Graham (1887-1932) in 1927. The Carlton Carriage Company was a highly respected London coachbuilder that provided bespoke coachwork for some of the finest car makers of the 1920s and 30s. They are best known for their drophead coupes which are archetypal designs of the British Jazz Era. History Carlton Carriage Company was founded in 1924 under the name of the Kelvin Carriage Company and changed its name to Carlton Carriage Co in 1925. The founders had close connections with E&B Hall, Motor Car Industries and the Waverly car company. Carlton began exhibiting at Olympia in 1926.
