Lambton—Kent—Middlesex (provincial Electoral District)
Lambton—Kent—Middlesex is a provincial electoral district in southwestern Ontario, Canada. It elects one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. It was created in 1999 from parts of Lambton, Chatham—Kent and Middlesex when ridings were redistributed to match their federal counterparts. From 1999 to 2007 the riding consisted of the municipalities of Lambton Shores, Warwick, Brooke-Alvinston, Dawn-Euphemia, Southwest Middlesex, Newbury, Adelaide Metcalfe, Strathroy-Caradoc, Oneida 41, Chippewas of the Thames First Nation 42, Plympton-Wyoming, Enniskillen, Petrolia, Oil Springs, Walpole Island 46, Chatham-Kent north of the Thames River and not including the former city of Chatham, and the southwest third of North Middlesex. In 2007, the riding was redistributed, and it lost Plympton-Wyoming, Enniskillen, Petrolia and Oil Springs while it gained the rest of North Middlesex, Lucan Biddulph and Middlesex Centre. The Thames River is located in southwestern Ontario, Canada. The Thames flows southwestly through southwestern Ontario, from the Town of Tavistock through the cities of Woodstock, London and Chatham to Lighthouse Cove on Lake St. Clair. Its drainage basin is . Petrolia, Ontario
Petrolia is a town in southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is part of Lambton County and is surrounded by Enniskillen Township. Lambton (electoral District)
Lambton was a federal electoral district represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1867 to 1882. It was located in the province of Ontario. It was created by the British North America Act of 1867. The County of Lambton consisted of the Townships of Bosanquet, Warwick, Plympton, Sarnia, Moore, Enniskillen, and Brooke, and the Town of Sarnia. The electoral district was abolished in 1882 when it was redistributed between Lambton East and Lambton West ridings. It was represented for those 15 years of operation by Alexander Mackenzie, of the Liberal Party of Canada.
