Biography Early life Kit Lambert was born on 11 May 1935, the son of composer Constant Lambert and part-time actress Florence Kaye. He was the grandson of George Washington Lambert, a sculptor and painter who was an official war artist for the Australian government at Gallipoli during World War I. His godfather was his father's friend and fellow composer, William Walton. His godmother was Margot Fonteyn, the prima ballerina who danced for Constant's company, the Royal Ballet, and with whom Constant had an affair causing him to leave Lambert's mother. Biography Alison studied clarinet at the Royal Northern College of Music where she was a major scholarship recipient, before accepting a scholarship to study with Professor Wolfgang Meyer in Karlsruhe, Germany. Franz Lambert (born 11 March 1948) is a German composer and organist. He is an avid Hammond organ player; however, he is more noted in later years for playing the Wersi range of electronic organs. During his career he has released over 100 albums. Born in Heppenheim, Germany, his first notable public appearance was in 1969 in the German TV show '' Zum Blauen Bock,'' after which he received his first publishing contract. John Lambert (15 July 1926 – 7 March 1995) was a British music composer and teacher. Biography John Arthur Neil Lambert was born at Maidenhead. After obtaining a post at the Royal College of Music, he lived at Brighton for the rest of his life, where he shared a house with organist Timothy Bond. He died in Brighton from liver cancer. Music career Lambert studied at the Royal Academy of Music, and then at the Royal College of Music. He studied with Nadia Boulanger privately in Paris; that study ended in 1953. In 1958 Lambert was named Music Director at the Old Vic theatre; he retained that post until 1962, when he accepted a post as Professor of Composition at the Royal College of Music. He received his musical education as an altar boy at the Chapel of Gaston d'Orléans, a brother of king Louis XIII. He studied also with Pierre de Nyert in Paris.
