Lala Lakshmipat Singhania
Lala Lakshmipat Singhania (1910–1976) was a pioneering Indian entrepreneur and industrialist. A son of the prominent industrialist Lala Kamlapat Singhania, he was a key architect of J. K. Organisation, one of India's largest business houses, and he endowed the Lakshmipat Singhania Academy. In 2010 a commemorative stamp was issued to mark the centenary of his birth. Lala Kamlapat Singhania
Lala Kamlapat Singhania (7 November 1884 – 31 May 1937) was an Indian industrialist, who founded the J. K. Organisation, one of India's largest conglomerate company. He was born to a Marwari Bania family in Kanpur, then part of the North-Western Provinces in British Raj. He was the founder of several companies which came under the umbrella of JK Organization. The first major business set up by him was a cotton mill with the name of Juggilal Kamlapat Cotton Spinning & Weaving Mills in 1921 which laid the foundation for JK Organisation. Early life Kamlapat Singhania was born to Juggilal and Chandribai Singhania on 7 November 1884 in Kanpur. Lakshmipat Singhania Academy
Lakshmipat Singhania Academy (LSA) are a group of schools run by Lakshmipat Singhania Education Foundation, a subsidiary of the J.K. Group. There are two branches of LSA - in Kolkata, West Bengal and Bissau, Jhunjhunu District, Rajasthan. The schools are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. They are coeducational schools with classes ranging from Pre-Primary to Secondary level. History The Lakshmipat Singhania Education Foundation was founded in the 1960s to promote education in India. The Kolkata branch of the school opened in 1996. It is located at the intersection of Alipore Road and Judge's Court Road.
