Lakshmi (1982 Film)
''Lakshmi'' is a 1982 Hindi-language drama film, produced by Raja and Desai under the Roy Films banner and directed by B.S. Thapa. It stars Raj Babbar and Reena Roy. Jeetendra makes a special appearance and music was composed by Usha Khanna. Plot Lakshmi, the daughter of a poor postmaster, marries Vijay Singh, the only son of a rich Zamindar. Lakshmi gives birth to a male child Ajay Singh, affectionately called Pappu. Meanwhile, Vijay goes abroad for higher education. Vijay returns from abroad and a very big party is thrown in his honor, but most unfortunately, Vijay dies an accident on the same night of the party and thus Lakshmi's misery begins. Raj Babbar
Raj Babbar (born 23 June 1952) is an Indian Hindi and Punjabi film actor and politician belonging to Indian National Congress. three-time member of the Lok Sabha and a two-time member of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament. He was the President of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee. Early life Babbar was born in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, in a Punjabi family on 23 June 1952, but he hails from Tundla, Firozabad. Mahendra Kapoor
Mahendra Kapoor (9 January 1934 – 27 September 2008) was an Indian playback singer. In a long career spanning decades, his repertoire included popular songs such as ''Chalo ekbaar phir se Ajnabi ban jayen hum dono'' ( Gumrah) and ''Neele Gagan ke tale'' (Hamraaz). His name however became most closely associated with patriotic songs including Mere Desh Ki Dharti in Manoj Kumar's film Upkaar. Kaifi Azmi (born Athar Husain Rizvi; 14 January 1919 – 10 May 2002) was an Indian Urdu poet. He is remembered as the one who brought Urdu literature to Indian motion pictures. Amit Kumar (singer)
Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian playback singer, actor, music composer. Kumar launched his own music production company, named Kumar Brothers Music. He predominantly worked in Bollywood and regional film songs since the 1970s, including 150 Hindi and Bengali compositions by R. D. Burman. After Burman's death in 1994, citing a lack of quality music composition, Kumar withdrew from playback singing and concentrated on live orchestra shows.
