Lakker
Lakker are an Irish electronic music duo consisting of Dara Smith and Ian McDonnell, both from Dublin, Ireland. Formed in 2003, they have released a number of albums and singles on the independent Belgian electronic label R & S Records merging "IDM, new-school trip-hop, and industrial-strength techno/bass-music hybrids". Lakker were featured on Mary Anne Hobbs' "6 Music Recommends" on BBC Radio 6 during 2014 and 2017, and on Nick Luscombe's "Late Junction" on BBC Radio 3 in March 2017. In 2016, in combination with the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, Lakker created "a new conceptual work" which was presented as an album, an interactive digital platform, and a documentary. Performances and workshops Lakker perform live, DJ, and present audiovisual shows in Europe and North America. Rewire Festival
Rewire Festival is an annual international festival for adventurous music, held since 2011 in The Hague, Netherlands. The festival presents a broad program with a focus on contemporary electronic music, neo-classical, new jazz, experimental pop, sound art and multidisciplinary collaborations. It has featured artists such as Laurie Anderson, James Holden, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Ricardo Villalobos, Arca & Jesse Kanda, Nils Frahm, Animal Collective, Nina Kraviz, and The Field (the band). The 2019 edition took place on March 29, 30 and 31. Venues differ from churches, old factories and abandoned spaces to the more institutional theatres and pop venues. R & S Records
R&S Records is an independent record label founded in 1983 in Ghent, Belgium. R&S represents the initials of Renaat Vandepapeliere and Sabine Maes, the couple that created the label. R&S Records has had several subsidiaries, most notably Apollo Records, which was reactivated in 2009. R&S and its subsidiaries include releases by Lone, Paula Temple, Joey Beltram, Capricorn, Aphex Twin, Biosphere, C.J. Bolland, Sun Electric, The Source Experience/Robert Leiner, Model 500/Juan Atkins, Silent Phase, System 7, Dave Angel, and Ken Ishii. History The label was first named as Milos Music Belgium but just one record was released on the label. In physical geography, tundra () is a type of biome where tree growth is hindered by frigid temperatures and short growing seasons. The term ''tundra'' comes through Russian (') from the Kildin Sámi word (') meaning "uplands", "treeless mountain tract". There are three regions and associated types of tundra: Arctic tundra, alpine tundra, and Antarctic tundra. Tundra vegetation is composed of dwarf shrubs, sedges, grasses, mosses, and lichens.
