Carnival Of Killers
''Carnival of Killers'' is the sixth album by American extreme metal band Macabre. It was released through Nuclear Blast on November 13, 2020. Reception Angela Davey in ''Kerrang!'' described ''Carnival of Killers'' as "for death metal fans looking for expert songwriting and precision, this record is best avoided. This is a tongue-in-cheek rendering of the genre from the band who supposedly helped to craft it. There’s silliness aplenty and a great riff or two, however, this is a novelty album that’s meant to be taken light heartedly. Listen with a sense of humour and you won’t be disappointed." '' Blabbermouth'' described the album as "no surprises to be found on Macabre's "Carnival of Killers", and the band's campy humor has always been the primary driver of their musical odes to horrific crimes. 2012 Alberta General Election
The 2012 Alberta general election was held on April 23, 2012, to elect members of the 28th Legislative Assembly of Alberta. A Senate nominee election was called for the same day. During the 2011 Progressive Conservative Association leadership election, eventual winner Alison Redford stated that if she became Premier she intended to pass legislation setting a fixed election date. After taking office, her government introduced a bill relating to the timing of elections, which was passed on December 6, 2011. Unlike other fixed election date legislation in Canada, the 2011 Election Amendment Act fixes the election to a three-month period, between March 1 and May 31 in the fourth calendar year. However, like other legislation, this does not affect the powers of the Lieutenant Governor to dissolve the Legislature before this period. The writs of elections were dropped March 26, 2012. Although the Wildrose Party led opinion polls for much of the campaign, on election night the Prog ...

The song had been partly written years before, in 1971, and was finally finished in 1979 and released in 1980 on Seger's album '' Against the Wind''. The single reached number 6 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. A live version of the song appeared on the album ''Nine Tonight'', released in 1981. Background and writing Seger and colleagues decided to make "Fire Lake" the first single from ''Against the Wind'' because it was "totally and unequivocally unlike anything I'd ever done before." *"The lyric is very ... different ... and very kind of unique. It's about taking risks. About risking love, chucking it all and just heading off with a bunch of wild people, whatever. *"It is one of my favorite lyrics down through the years, and the track is very unusual. It's sort of an R&B meets country kind ...
