Lake Silver (Winter Haven)
Lake Silver is a natural freshwater lake located in central Winter Haven, Florida. This lake has a surface area and is completely surrounded by offices, clinics and residential areas. The lake, almost circular in shape, is surrounded on three sides by North and South Lake Silver Drive. Lake Silver Drive on the east side is also part of 1st Street North ( SR 549). Lake Silver is surrounded by public land on all but its south and northwest shores. On the east side, 1st Street is only about away. On the north, North Lake Silver Drive is about away. On the entire west and southwest sides is parkland. Directly across 1st Street, to the southeast, is the Winter Haven Hospital campus. Winter Haven, Florida
Winter Haven is a city in Polk County, Florida, United States. It is fifty-one miles east of Tampa. The population was 49,219 at the 2020 census. According to the U.S. Census Bureau's 2019 estimates, this city had a population of 44,955, making it the second most populated city in Polk County. It is a principal city of the Lakeland-Winter Haven, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. Florida State Road 549
State Road 549 (SR 549) is a north–south state road in the U.S. state of Florida. It runs through the downtown of Winter Haven as 1st Street N, the north–south axis of the city's grid plan. Route description The signage of SR 549 begins at its intersection with SR 542 (Central Avenue) in the heart of downtown Winter Haven, near the post office. 1st Street continues southward to SR 540 (Cypress Gardens Boulevard) but is not signed as SR 549. From Central Avenue, 1st Street heads northward, bypassing the Winter Haven Hospital, skirting Lake Silver, and paralleling U.S. Route 17. Winter Haven Hospital is a hospital and health service system based in Winter Haven, Florida. The hospital is managed and supported by the Winter Haven Hospital Foundation—a 501(c)3 non-profit organization—and is owned by BayCare Health System, a group of 15 not-for-profit hospitals in the Tampa Bay Area.
