Lake Erie Crushers
The Lake Erie Crushers are a professional baseball team based in Avon, Ohio, a city near the southern shore of Lake Erie. They are members of the West Division of the Frontier League, an independent baseball league which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball. The Crushers won the 2009 Frontier League championship in their inaugural season. They defeated the River City Rascals, three games to two, after losing the first two games of the series. History Avon Professional Baseball unveiled the name and logo on Thursday, December 4, 2008, of the Frontier League team that will begin play in Avon. The Florence Y'alls are a professional baseball team based within the Greater Cincinnati region in the city of Florence, Kentucky. The Y'alls are a member of the West Division of the Frontier League, an independent baseball league. Since 2004, they have played their home games at Thomas More Stadium, which is located near Interstates 71 and 75. The Y'alls franchise has won three Frontier League championships. However, these titles came when the team existed as the Erie Sailors (1994), Johnstown Steal (1995), and Johnstown Johnnies (2000). Covelli Loyce "Coco" Crisp (born November 1, 1979) is an American former professional baseball outfielder and MiLB team manager. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Royals, and Oakland Athletics. 2022 Frontier League Season
The 2022 Frontier League season is the 29th season of professional baseball in the Frontier League since its creation in June 1993. There are 16 Frontier League teams, split evenly between two divisions, the East, and West divisions. Season schedule After the folding of the Southern Illinois Miners, the league brought back the Frontier Greys as the 16th member of the Frontier League, operating as a road travel team for the season. The 16 teams in the league are split evenly between two divisions, the East, and West divisions.
