Laís Ribeiro (born Laís Pereira de Oliveira; 5 October 1989) is a Brazilian model known for her work as a Victoria's Secret Angel. Career Prior to becoming a model, Ribeiro was in training to become a nurse. A year after giving birth to her son Alexandre, she gave in to a friend's advice and started working as a model in her native Brazil. In 2009, she walked the major international catwalks for such designers as Shiatzy Chen, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, DKNY, Dior, Roberto Cavalli, Blumarine, Moschino, Balmain, Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexandre Vauthier, Elie Saab, Alexander Wang, Guy Laroche, and Marc Jacobs, amongst others. Guy Laroche () (16 July 1921 – 17 February 1989) was a French fashion designer and founder of the eponymous company. Biography Laroche was born in La Rochelle, and began his career in millinery. From 1949, Laroche worked for Jean Dessès, eventually becoming his assistant. In 1955, he visited the U.S. to investigate new ready-to-wear manufacturing methods. Alexandre Vauthier (born 30 November 1971) is a French people, French haute couture fashion designer. Career He was a student at fashion school ESMOD from 1991 to 1994.
