Lahore Transport Company
Lahore Transport Company (LTC) ( ur, ) is a public transit bus system established for the carrying of urban passengers in Lahore, in Punjab, Pakistan. It operates a bus rapid transit system in Lahore. However, the BRTs do not have dedicated lanes and right of privilege. History LTC was established under the Companies Ordinance of 1984, with intention of merging several transport companies operating in Lahore together under one company. In December 2001 LTC successfully merged the various transport companies of Lahore, with the aim to develop high quality, safe, efficient, environment friendly and affordable urban transport to Lahore city residents. Since December 2009, LTC has taken over the infrastructure and regulation responsibilities from the DRTA. LTC identified various inefficiencies in the existing routes and their alignments as they existed. The Lahore Metrobus is a bus rapid transit service operating in Lahore Punjab, Pakistan. Lahore Metrobus service is integrated with Lahore Transport Company's local bus service to operate as one urban transport system, providing seamless transit service across Lahore District with connections to neighboring suburban communities. The Lahore Metrobus was designed to be opened in stages, with the first stage opening on 11 February 2013 stretching from Gajumata to Shahadra. Wagah ( ur, ) or Wagha (Shahmukhi pnb, ) is a village and union council (UC 181) located in the Wahga Zone near Lahore City District, Pakistan. The town is famous for the Wagah border ceremony and also serves as a goods transit terminal and a railway station between Pakistan and India.
