Lahore Qalandars In 2017
The Lahore Qalandars is a franchise cricket team that represents Lahore in the Pakistan Super League. They are one of the five teams that had a competition in the 2017 Pakistan Super League. The team was captained by Brendon McCullum, and they won three matches from their eight matches in the PSL 2017. They stand on fifth position and as a result they were eliminated in group stage. Lahore Qalandars ( ur, ; pnb, لہور قلندرز; abbreviated as LQ) is a Pakistani professional cricket franchise which plays in the Pakistan Super League, representing the city of Lahore. The home ground of the team is Gaddafi Stadium. The team is owned by Rana Brothers. The team is currently captained by Shaheen Afridi and coached by Aaqib Javed, a former Pakistani cricketer. Lahore Qalandars is owned by Rana brothers. It was the second-most expensive franchise, and one of the few teams sold to an international company. The team finished at the bottom spot in the points table in each of the first four seasons of the PSL, before making its first appearance in the final in the 2020 edition. Yasir Shah SI (; born 2 May 1986) is an international cricketer from Pakistan. He plays as a bowler, and is the joint-second fastest bowler in the history of Test cricket to take 100 wickets, as well as also being the fastest to pick up 200 wickets, having broken the previous record set by Australian bowler Clarrie Grimmett. Cameron Scott Delport (born 12 May 1989) is a British-South African professional cricketer who plays in Twenty20 league tournaments. He was educated at Westville High School. He is a left-hand opening batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler. Delport also played for the Lahore Qalandars during the first edition of Pakistan Super League. Umar Akmal (Urdu, pa, ; born 26 May 1990) is a Pakistani cricketer who played for Pakistan national cricket team between 2009 and 2019. Azhar Ali ( ur, ; born 19 February 1985) is a Pakistani former international cricketer. He also captained Pakistan national team in Test and ODI cricket. James Edward Charles Franklin (born 7 November 1980) is a New Zealand cricket coach and former cricketer, who played all forms of the game internationally. Franklin played as a left-arm medium-fast bowler who swung the ball, and a middle order batsman who hit the ball with power.
