Lago ( Laghitano: ) is a ''comune'' in the province of Cosenza, Calabria, in southern Italy. It is located 42 kilometers from the city of Cosenza. Geography and topography Lago is located in the mountainous interior of the Cosenza Province, near the slopes of Monte Cocuzzo. Antonio Franco Lago (Venice, 28 March 1893 – Paris, 1 December 1960) was an Italian engineer and motor-industry entrepreneur. In 1936 he bought Automobiles Talbot S.A. from his employers, the collapsed Anglo-French S.T.D. Motors combine, and founded the motor-racing marque Talbot-Lago. The French government awarded him the Legion d’Honneur for the glory he brought to France. Ângela Maria Cardoso Lago (17 December 1945 – 22 October 2017) was a Brazilian children's author and illustrator of poems dedicated to children. She began drawing at the age of three and spent time in the United States, Venezuela and Scotland early in her career. Lago published her first book in 1980 and her last in 2016.
