Lagercrantz is the name of an influential Swedish noble family, whose members held various positions in Sweden and Finland. History On 13 February 1682 he family was ennobled with the name Lagercrantz. On 6 October 1682 the family was introduced to the House of Nobility. David Lagercrantz
David Lagercrantz (born 4 September 1962) is a Swedish journalist and author, internationally known as the author of '' I Am Zlatan Ibrahimović'', '' The Girl in the Spider’s Web'', ''The Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye'' and ''The Girl Who Lived Twice''. The latter three of these works are the fourth, fifth and sixth instalments respectively in the ''Millennium'' series originated by Stieg Larsson. He is a board member of Swedish PEN. Olof Gustaf Hugo Lagercrantz (10 March 1911 – 23 July 2002) was a Swedish writer, critic, literary scholar (PhD 1951) and publicist (editor-in-chief of '' Dagens Nyheter'' 1960–1975). Life and career Lagercrantz was born in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of bank director , of the noble Lagercrantz family, and Countess Agnes Hamilton. He married Martina Ruin (born 1921), daughter of Professor Hans Ruin and Karin Sievers, in 1939. Lagercrantz is the father of actress Marika Lagercrantz and author David Lagercrantz. His sister Lis Asklund was an author, social worker, curator, and program producer for Sveriges Radio. His nephews Lars and Johan Lönnroth are also famous in their own right. Marika Karin Louise Lagercrantz (born 12 July 1954) is a Swedish actress. Since 2011, she has been Sweden's cultural attaché at the Berlin embassy in Germany. Lagercrantz was born in Solna. She is the daughter of Olof Lagercrantz, granddaughter of Hans Ruin, sister of David Lagercrantz, and cousin of Lars and Johan Lönnroth. The Swedish nobility ( sv, Adeln eller Ridderskapet och Adeln) has historically been a legally and/or socially privileged class in Sweden, and part of the so-called ''frälse'' (a derivation from Old Swedish meaning ''free neck''). The archaic term for nobility, ''frälse'', also included the clergy, a classification defined by tax exemptions and representation in the diet (the Riksdag).
