Axelle Laffont
Axelle Laffont (born 24 July 1970) is a French actress and comedian. She was born in Marseille. She is both the granddaughter of publisher Robert Laffont, and the daughter of Patrice Laffont, television presenter, and Catherine Laporte. She is also the stepdaughter of Édouard Molinaro who married her mother in 1982. Career Axelle Laffont participated in ''La Matinale d'Arthur'' from 1996 to 1999, but became known by intervening in ''La Grosse Émission'' from 1999 to 2000 and then presenting in 2000 and 2001 a very special weather and staggered in the show ''Nulle part ailleurs'' on Canal+, based on sketches and burlesque disguises. She also appeared in series such as ''Un gars, une fille'', ''Caméra Café'', '' H'' (Season 1 Episode 12: A Red Flacon) and ''Kaamelott'' (Book 3 Episode 5: Sefriane of Aquitaine). Eliane Laffont
Eliane Laffont is a New York-based editor, creative director, image consultant and entrepreneur. She notably opened the U.S. office of Gamma Press Images with her husband Jean-Pierre Laffont in 1968 and in 1973 co-founded the breakaway Sygma Photo News Agency, the largest photography agency in the world. Laffont currently serves as a senior consultant for Visa pour l'Image. Early life Laffont was born in Burgundy, France, and raised in North Africa, where she attended school in Casablanca, Morocco. She completed her studies in Paris, where she received dual philosophy and political science degrees. In 1965, Laffont, along with close friends Michèle Ray, Martine Libersart and Betty Gérard, completed a 30,000 mile endurance race from Tierra del Fuego to Alaska for Renault. Jean-Jacques Laffont
Jean-Jacques Marcel Laffont (April 13, 1947 – May 1, 2004) was a French economist specializing in public economics and information economics. Educated at the University of Toulouse and the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique ( ENSAE) in Paris, he was awarded PhD in economics by Harvard University in 1975. Laffont taught at the École Polytechnique (1975–1987), and was Professor of Economics at Ecole des hautes études en sciences sociales (1980–2004) and at the University of Toulouse I (1991–2001). In 1991, he founded Toulouse's Industrial Economics Institute (Institut D'Economie Industrielle, IDEI) which has become one of the most prominent European research centres in economics. From 2001 until his death, he was the inaugural holder of the University of Southern California's John Elliott Chair in Economics. Jean-Pierre Laffont (born 1935) is a French-American photojournalist, born in Algeria, based in New York City. He was the founding member of Gamma USA and Sygma, the largest photography agency in the world, which in 1999 was acquired by the Corbis Corporation. Biography Born in Algeria in 1935, Laffont attended high school and college in Morocco, where he graduated in 1955. In 1959, he received his master's degree in Photography from Europe's prestigious School of Arts et Metiers in Vevey, Switzerland. In 1960, Laffont graduated from Military Infantry Academy, in Cherchell (Algeria), where he was a Press Officer, and then proceeded to serve in the French Army as a Commanding Officer in the Oran region in the Algeria War throughout April 1962. Patrice Laffont (born 21 August 1939 in Marseille) is a French television presenter, actor and entertainer. Career During the 1960s Laffont had a passion for acting, where he became a star on stage and screen with his friends Michel Fugain and Michel Sardou. During the 1970s he joined Europe 1 where most of his programmes were produced by Armand Jammot. His television career includes hosting ''Des chiffres et des lettres'' (French original of the UK's ''Countdown'') which he did between 1972 and 1989. Toulouse School of Economics (TSE; french: École d'économie de Toulouse) is a school of economics, affiliated with Toulouse 1 Capitole University, a constituent college of the Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées. It is located in the city of Toulouse, France.
