Lafe McKee
Lafayette S. "Lafe" McKee (January 23, 1872 – August 10, 1959) was an American actor who appeared in more than 400 films from 1912 to 1948. Part of his career was spent with Art Mix Productions. McKee also worked as a stage actor from 1910 until at least 1932, and began working in show business in 1893. Lafe Solomon
Lafe E. Solomon was named the Acting General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) on June 21, 2010, by President Barack Obama. His nomination to serve as General Counsel was sent to the U.S. Senate on January 5, 2011. On August 1, 2013, President Obama withdrew his nomination, instead choosing to nominate Richard Griffin, Jr. for the position. The action came about as a result of a compromise between Senate Republicans and the White House concerning nominations to the NLRB. Solomon began his NLRB career as a field examiner in 1972. After pursuing a law degree, he returned to the Agency as an attorney in the Office of Appeals. He transferred to the Appellate Court Branch in 1979. Two years later, he joined the staff of former Board Member Don Zimmerman. Lafayette (Lafe) Pence (December 23, 1857 – October 22, 1923) was an American lawyer and politician who served one term as a United States House of Representatives, U.S. Representative from Colorado from 1893 to 1895. Biography Born in Columbus, Indiana, Pence attended the common schools. He was graduated from Hanover (Indiana) College in 1877. He studied law. He was Admission to the bar in the United States, admitted to the bar in 1878 and practiced in Columbus, Indiana, until September 1879, when he moved to Winfield, Kansas. He moved to Rico, Colorado, in 1881 and continued the practice of law until 1884. Career He served as member of the State house of representatives in 1885. Charles Lafayette Todd
Charles Lafayette "Lafe" Todd (December 9, 1911 – August 4, 2004) was an American folklorist. He was born in rural western New York State. As an undergraduate studying English literature at Hamilton College, he developed an interest in the Elizabethan ballad. In the late 1930s, while doing graduate work at Columbia University in New York City, Todd lived in Greenwich Village, where he frequented the Village Vanguard, a local night spot. Here he made the acquaintance of Alan Lomax (who later facilitated the Archive of American Folk Song's support of the Todd/Sonkin collecting expedition), along with other notables of the day such as Woody Guthrie, Huddie Ledbetter (better known as "Leadbelly"), Burl Ives, John Jacob Niles, and Frank M.
