Ladies Who Do
''Ladies Who Do'' is a 1963 British comedy film directed by C. M. Pennington-Richards and starring Peggy Mount, Robert Morley and Harry H. Corbett. Plot Mrs. Cragg (Peggy Mount) works as a charwoman (part-time domestic servant) for retired Colonel Whitforth (Robert Morley) and as a cleaner at an office block in London. It is whilst doing her office cleaning that she retrieves a cigar discarded by financier James Ryder (Harry H. Corbett) as a gift for the Colonel, wrapping it in a scrap of paper. The Colonel discovers that the scrap of paper is actually a telegram containing details about a City takeover bid that has fallen through. He unscrupulously uses this insider information to make £5,000 on the stock exchange, which he offers to share equally with Mrs. Cragg. Though she does not understand what happened, she is convinced that he has done something wrong, so she goes to inform Ryder. Ron Moody
Ron Moody (born Ronald Moodnick; 8 January 1924 – 11 June 2015) was an English actor, composer, singer and writer. He was best known for his portrayal of Fagin in ''Oliver!'' (1968) and its 1983 Broadway revival. Moody earned a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination for the film, as well as a Tony Award nomination for the stage production. Ed Devereaux
Edward Sidney Devereaux (27 August 192517 December 2003), better known professionally as Ed Devereaux, was an Australian actor, director, and scriptwriter who lived in the United Kingdom for many years. He was best known for playing the part of Matt Hammond the head ranger in the Australian television series '' Skippy the Bush Kangaroo''. He was also involved in the series behind the scenes, Devereaux writing the script and directing the episode ''The Veteran'' (1969), for which he received much critical acclaim. Margaret Boyd (actress)
Margaret Boyd (17 January 1913 - 21 November 1993) was an English lacrosse player, administrator and school teacher who founded the International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Associations (today World Lacrosse) in 1972 and was vice-president (later president) of the English Women's Lacrosse Association. She was an educator at Roedean School, a girl's public school in Sussex, then at Berkhamsted School and finally at Wycombe Abbey as the head of physical education and later a housemistress. In lacrosse, Boyd played as a defence wing for Bedford College, Boxmoor Ladies, the East Ladies Lacrosse Association and the England women's lacrosse team, which she captained from 1938 to her retirement from playing in 1951. Ernest Clark (12 February 1912 – 11 November 1994) was a British actor of stage, television and film. Early life Clark was the son of a master builder in Maida Vale, and was educated nearby at St Marylebone Grammar School. After leaving school he became a reporter on a local newspaper in Croydon.
