Ladegården, Copenhagen
Ladegården, or Københavns Ladegård ("Copenhagen's Ladegård") was established as a farm under Copenhagen Castle by Christian IV in 1623 and was located roughly at the site of the present-day Radio House on Rosenørns Allé in Copenhagen, Denmark. The complex with later additions later served a range of different functions before it was demolished in the early 1920. History Christian III built a farm referred to as Ladegården about which hardly anything is known at Nyby outside Copenhagen 1548. The building later associated with the name was established by Christian IV in 1623. The estate covered all of present-day Frederiksberg Municipality. Its purpose was to provide produce for the royal household, grazing for its livestock and feed for the royal mews. A building g with room for 500 pieces of cattle was destroyed in a storm in 1628 and a new, three-storey brick building was constructed in its place. Vodroffsvej is a street in the Frederiksberg district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It follows the western shore of The Lakes Copenahgen, St. Jørgen's Lake, linking Gammel Kongevej in the south with Rosenørns Allé in the north. The embankment and lakeside path on the east side of the street is called Svineryggen (English: The Hog's Back). History Vodroffsgård industrial complex The area west of St. Jørgen's Lake was the site of some outworks before it was ceded to quartermaster Georg Julius Wodroff in 1698 as a result of the Mercantilistic policies of the time. He established the Vodroffgård watermill at the mouth of the Ladegård Canal. It was originally built as a fulling, fulling mill but was soon adapted for other use. History Of Frederiksberg
Frederiksberg () is a part of the Capital Region of Denmark. It is formally an independent municipality, Frederiksberg Municipality, separate from Copenhagen Municipality, but both are a part of the City of Copenhagen. It occupies an area of less than 9 km2 and had a population of 103,192 in 2015. Frederiksberg is an enclave surrounded by Copenhagen Municipality. Some sources ambiguously refer to Frederiksberg as a quarter or neighbourhood of Copenhagen, being one of the four municipalities that constitute the City of Copenhagen (the other three being Copenhagen, Tårnby and Dragør).
