Lachlan McNeil (born 2 September 2001) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited by the Western Bulldogs with the 11th draft pick in the 2020 AFL Rookie draft. Early football McNeil played junior football with the South Clare Demons in the North Eastern Football League, beginning in the under 14s division and playing a total of 47 games over 4 seasons. He played for the Woodville-West Torrens junior divisions in 2019, where he was selected in the South Australia Under 18s state squad in the 2019 AFL Under 18 Championships. He was named as one of the best players for South Australia in Rounds 2 and 5. During his time with the South Australian team, he played the majority of his time as a ruck-rover. Woodville-West Torrens Football Club
Woodville-West Torrens Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). It was formed in 1990 from an amalgamation of the neighbouring Woodville and West Torrens football clubs and played its inaugural game in 1991. Since 1993, the Eagles have played most of their home games at Woodville's home ground of Woodville Oval, having previously used Football Park. Western Bulldogs
The Western Bulldogs are a professional Australian rules football team that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier competition. The North Eastern Football League is an Australian rules football competition based in the Mid North region of South Australia, Australia. It is an affiliated member of the South Australian National Football League. 8 teams are in the league. The 2020 South Australian National Football League season (officially the SANFL Statewide Super League) was the 141st season of the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), the highest-level Australian rules football competition in South Australia. Jade Sheedy
Jade Sheedy (born 18 December 1979) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Sturt Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Recruited to Sturt from Mildura club Imperials in 2000, Sheedy was a member of the Sturt premiership team of 2002, a year he won the Magarey Medal with teammate Tim Weatherald. He was Sturt captain from 2007 to 2012 and captained the state football team in 2008 and 2009. Sheedy was appointed league coach of Woodville-West Torrens in 2020 and guided the Eagles to a Premiership in his first season at the helm, defeating North Adelaide by 39 points in the Grand Final.
