The bright-line brown-eye (''Lacanobia oleracea'') is a moth of the family Noctuidae. Carl Linnaeus (; 23 May 1707 – 10 January 1778), also known after his ennoblement in 1761 as Carl von Linné Blunt (2004), p. 171. Bernard Skinner (1939 – 7 February 2017) was an English lepidopterist known for the Skinner moth trap and ''The Colour Identification Guide to Moths of the British Isles''. The book made it easier to identify moths and the portable light trap made it easier to catch moths, thus encouraging the recording of moths as a hobby.
