Lac-Robertson Generating Station
The Lac-Robertson Generating Station is a 21.6 MW hydroelectric power station in east of the Côte-Nord region of Quebec, Canada. It supplies power to the local communities, and is not connected to the main grid. Location The Lac-Robertson Generating Station is in the unorganized territory of Petit-Mécatina in Le Golfe-du-Saint-Laurent Regional County Municipality. The dam crosses the northeast end of the Petit lac Plamodon where it drains into the Véco River upstream from the north end of Lac Monger. The Lac-Robertson powerhouse is in the base of the dam. The spillway releases water from the southeast bank of the Petit lac Plamodon into the small Lac Soulier, which drains via Lac Cuillère into the west end of Lac Monger. From Lac Monger the Veco River flows a short distance into the Baie des Ha! Ha!. Petit-Mécatina, Quebec
Petit-Mécatina is an unorganized territory in the Côte-Nord region of Quebec, Canada, part of Le Golfe-du-Saint-Laurent Regional County Municipality. It was formerly part of the Minganie Regional County Municipality, but transferred to the current MRC in July 2010. It is named after the Petit Mécatina River that bisects the territory from north to south and empties in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence just west of Petit Mécatina Island. The river forms east of Lake Aticonac just south of the boundary between the Atlantic and Saint Lawrence watersheds, that is also the disputed boundary between Quebec and Labrador. Mécatina comes from the Innu word ''makatinau'' and means "large mountain". As part of the Labrador boundary dispute, the official borders of Petit-Mécatina as claimed by Quebec include part of the territory of Labrador. Le Golfe-du-Saint-Laurent Regional County Municipality
Le Golfe-du-Saint-Laurent is a regional county municipality in the Côte-Nord region of far-eastern Quebec, Canada. It includes all communities along the Gulf of Saint Lawrence between the Natashquan River and the Newfoundland and Labrador border. Hydro-Québec
Hydro-Québec is a public utility that manages the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity in the Canadian province of Quebec, as well as the export of power to portions of the Northeast United States. Véco River
The Véco River (french: Rivière Véco) is a salmon river in the Côte-Nord region of Quebec, Canada, that empties into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. It has been dammed to supply a hydroelectric power plant. The shoreline around the mouth of the river is protected as part of a federal bird sanctuary.
