Lac-Jacques-Cartier is a large unorganized territory in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada, in the La Côte-de-Beaupré Regional County Municipality, making up more than 85% of this regional county. It is unpopulated and undeveloped, almost entirely part of the Jacques-Cartier National Park and the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve. Quebec Route 175 bisects the territory, and passes on the western shore of Lake Jacques-Cartier, after which the territory is named and source of the Jacques-Cartier River. Quebec Route 175
Route 175 is a major north–south highway on both sides of the St. Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada. Its southern terminus is in Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon, Quebec, Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon at the junction of Quebec Route 218, Route 218 and its northern terminus is in Saguenay, Quebec, Saguenay at the junction of Quebec Route 172, Route 172, in the former city of Chicoutimi. Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré
Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is a town in La Côte-de-Beaupré Regional County Municipality, Quebec, Canada, along the Saint Lawrence River, north-east of Quebec City. The population was 2,803 according to the Canada 2006 Census. Major religious landmarks, the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and the Convent of the Redemptoristines, are located in the town. The basilica continues to attract pilgrims. Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré stands in a rolling agricultural country, with the foothills of the Laurentian Mountains in the background. Saint-Tite-des-Caps is a municipality in La Côte-de-Beaupré Regional County Municipality in Quebec, Canada. Located on Route 138 to Baie-Saint-Paul, this road climbs up sharply to about to reach the town nestled in a valley. The Sainte-Anne-du-Nord River forms the municipal western boundary. The place is named after Titus, companion of Saint Paul, whereas "''des-Caps''" indicates its position within the Capes Region, that stretches from Cape Tourmente to Baie-Saint-Paul. Baie-Saint-Paul
Baie-Saint-Paul ( 2011 Population 7,332; UA population 4,535) is a city in the Province of Quebec, Canada, on the northern shore of the Saint Lawrence River. Baie-Saint-Paul is the seat of Charlevoix Regional County Municipality. The city is situated at the mouth of the Gouffre River. It is known for its art galleries, shops and restaurants. The place gained some prominence in the 1770s when Doctor Philippe-Louis-François Badelard named a disease he was researching the "Baie-Saint-Paul maladie". This illness was the subject of one of the first medical publications done in Lower Canada. It is also where Cirque du Soleil originated back in the early 1980s and the location of the first show using the name Cirque du Soleil during "La Fete Foraine de Baie-Saint-Paul" in 1984. Lac-Pikauba, Quebec
Lac-Pikauba is an unorganized territory in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada. It is a large, unpopulated, undeveloped territory that makes up two-thirds of the Charlevoix Regional County Municipality. The entire area west of Quebec Route 381, which bisects the territory, is part of the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve and the Grands-Jardins National Park. A portion of the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park is in the north-eastern part of the territory. The territory's largest lake is the eponymous Lake Pikauba. This toponym comes from the Montagnais word ''Opikopau''. ''Opi'' is a root to indicate that something is enclosed or confined. ''Kopau'' describes a lake with alders, reeds, or other. So Pikauba may be translated as "lake narrowed by Alders". The map of provincial surveyor Frederic William Blaiklock from 1852 referred to this lake by the name Chicoutimi Lake. Mont-Apica, Quebec
Mont-Apica is an unorganized territory in the Canadian province of Quebec, located in the regional county municipality of Lac-Saint-Jean-Est. It had a population of 0 in the Canada 2011 Census, and covered a land area of 12.68 km2, entirely within the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve. The territory was home to the former RCAF Station Mont Apica, located along Quebec Route 169 at the base of the namesake Mount Apica. Part of the Pinetree Line and NORAD, the station became operational in 1952 and had a staff of some 500 persons at its peak. Political and technological changes made the station redundant and it closed in 1990. The Apica River, a small tributary of the Pikauba River, flows through the territory in a narrow and deep valley at the foot of the high Mount Apica. The river and mountain were spelled as Upika or Upica until 1961, an Innu word meaning "narrowing river".
