''Laal Kabootar'' ( ur, , lit=Red Pigeon) is a 2019 Pakistani action crime thriller film directed by Kamal Khan, produced by Hania Chima and Kamil Chima, and written by Ali Abbas Naqvi. Taha Malik is the music director while Danial Hyatt, son of Rohail Hyatt, provides the background score. The film features Ahmed Ali Akbar, Mansha Pasha, Rashid Farooqui, Raza Gillani, Syed Mohammad Ahmed, and Ali Kazmi. The film was released on 22 March 2019. Laal Kabootar's TV premiere was on 31 August 2019 on Geo Entertainment. It was Pakistan's official entry for 92nd Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. Ahmed Ali Akbar
Ahmed Ali Akbar is a Pakistani actor who primarily works in Urdu television. He marked his television debut at the age of thirteen in PTV's drama ''Stop Watch''. He guest-starred in 2013 drama film ''Siyaah'' and started his professional acting career in 2014, since then he has appeared in several television series. Akbar is best known for playing the titular character Parizaad in Hum TV's popular ''Parizaad'' in 2021 for which he won several awards including Hum Awards for Best Actor - Popular. BOL Network ( ur, ) is a media conglomerate based in Karachi owned by Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh who also served as the CEO and chairman of the media network. According to Declan Walsh Bol Network was under the auspices of the fake diploma mill Axact. The media group was supposed to incorporate television, digital media, cinema and theater as well as digital media, but when the parent company of Bol, Axact, was unmasked as a diploma mill selling fake degrees Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority revoked the licence that it had awarded BOL, and the network was not even able to start transmission. Mai Dhai ( ur, مای دھائی) is a Pakistani classical singer hailing from Tharparkar, Sindh. She formed a folk-band called Mai Dhai Band composed of Jamal Shab, a harmonium player and dhol player, Muhammad Fakir.
