''La rivincita di Natale'', internationally released as ''Christmas Rematch'', is a 2004 Italian comedy-drama film directed by Pupi Avati. It is the sequel of the 1986 film ''Christmas Present''. Plot In Bologna, Franco, Lele, Stefano and Ugo, once old friends once, reunite for the Christmas holidays. Franco, who was defeated 18 years before, is now a great industrialist and film producer, and he is going to have the rematch of a poker game played many years ago. Initially, Franco loses many euros, but after a while, he starts winning. At the end of the game his friends leave defeated, and Franco realizes he is left alone because of a game because now he has lost the esteem of his dear comrades. Pupi Avati
Giuseppe Avati, better known as Pupi Avati (born 3 November 1938), is an Italian film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is known to horror film fans for his two giallo masterpieces, ''The House with Laughing Windows'' (1976) and '' Zeder'' (1983). Early life and career Pupi Avati was born in Bologna in 1938. After attending school and studying Political Science at the University of Florence, he started working at a frozen food company. At the same time, he developed a passion for jazz, becoming a proficient clarinetist. In the second half of the 1950s, he formed and played in the Doctor Dixie Jazz Band, of which Lucio Dalla was also a member. Although he initially intended to be a professional musician, Avati felt he lacked the necessary talent. George Eastman (actor)
George Eastman (born Luigi Montefiori; August 16, 1942) is an Italian actor and screenwriter well known for his frequent collaborations with notorious director Joe D'Amato. He is most famous for his role as the insane, cannibalistic serial killer Klaus Wortmann in the gory 1980 horror film ''Antropophagus'' (aka ''The Grim Reaper''). He also played a similar role in its 1981 follow-up, '' Absurd''. Both films were directed by D'Amato and written by Eastman.
