Paolo Spinola (director)
Paolo Spinola or Pablo Spínola Doria (24 February 1628 – 24 December 1699), 3rd Marquis of the Balbases and 3rd Duke of San Severino and Sesto, was a Spanish nobleman of Italian descent and a diplomat. Biography Spinola was born in 1628, the son of Filippo Spinola, 2nd Marquis of Los Balbases and Geronima Doria. His grandfather was the Italian-Spanish general and banker Ambrogio Spinola. Paolo was Governor of the Duchy of Milan during 1668 and 1670 after which he was replaced by Gaspar Téllez-Girón, 5th Duke de Osuna. He was Spanish ambassador to Vienna between 1670 and 1676 and then to Paris in 1677. Family In 1653, he married Anna Colonna (daughter of Marcantonio V Colonna, Prince of Paliano) in Rome. Carol Lee Walker (born 1935) is a retired American mathematician and mathematics textbook author. Walker's early mathematical research, in the 1960s and 1970s, concerned the theory of abelian groups. In the 1990s, her interests shifted to fuzzy logic and fuzzy control systems. Education and career Walker was born in Martinez, California on August 19, 1935, and went to high school in Montrose, Colorado. She studied music education at the University of Colorado Boulder, with a year off to work as a primary-school music teacher in Colorado, and graduated in 1957. Maurizio Arena (26 December 1933 – 21 November 1979) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in more than 70 films between 1952 and 1978. Life and career Born in Rome as Maurizio Di Lorenzo, Arena made his film debut at nineteen years old, with a small role in ''Bellezze in moto-scooter''. His breakout role came in 1956 with the role of Romolo in the successful Dino Risi's romance-comedy film ''Poveri ma belli''. Until the early 1960s Arena was one of the most popular actors in the Italian cinema, and was a regular feature of gossip columns for his tumultuous personal life. In later years his celebrity declined, and Arena found roles as a character actor in smaller films, and occasionally worked as a singer. He became an alternative medicine healer with some local following. He died at age 45 following a heart attack, a complication from a long-standing renal condition. A pianist, organist, conductor, composer, he was also the prolific author of more than 300 film soundtracks.
