''The Scarlet Lady'' (french: La femme écarlate; it, La donna scarlatta) AKA ''The Bitch Wants Blood'' is a 1969 French/Italian comedy film directed by Jean Valère and starring Monica Vitti, Maurice Ronet, and Robert Hossein. Written by Paul Gégauff and Jean Valère, the film is about a beautiful Italian businesswoman who, after being swindled out of her fortune by her boyfriend, travels to Paris to kill him before killing herself. Plot A beautiful Italian businesswoman, Lucille Lombardi ( Monica Vitti), discovers that her boyfriend and marketing director, Julien Auchard (Robert Hossein), has bankrupted her family business, cheated her out of her wealth, and left her penniless. Shocked by the betrayal, the loss of her villa in Nice, and feeling that all is lost, Lucille decides to sell her jewelry and binge on champagne and caviar before committing suicide. Alberto Grimaldi
Alberto Grimaldi (28 March 1925 – 23 January 2021) was an Italian film producer. Biography Grimaldi was born in Naples and studied law. In 1962 he founded his own production company, P.E.A., and released his first feature film, '' The Shadow of Zorro'' the following year and his first Spaghetti Western ''I due violenti'' (1964). His producing credits include '' For a Few Dollars More'' in 1965, ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'' in 1966 both with Sergio Leone who initially sought his legal experience advice, ''Last Tango in Paris'' in 1972, and ''Gangs of New York'' in 2002. Grimaldi died of natural causes in Miami on 23 January 2021, at the age of 95. Alberto Grimaldi is survived by his children, Massimo, Maurizio, and Marcello, as well as three grandchildren. Claude Henri Jean Chabrol (; 24 June 1930 – 12 September 2010) was a French film director and a member of the French New Wave (''nouvelle vague'') group of filmmakers who first came to prominence at the end of the 1950s.
