Steno (director)
Steno, the artistic name of Stefano Vanzina (19 January 1917 – 13 March 1988), was an Italian film director, screenwriter and cinematographer. Two of his films, ''Un giorno in pretura'' (1954) and ''Febbre da cavallo'' (1976), were shown in a retrospective section on Italian comedy at the 67th Venice International Film Festival. Michel Modo
Michel Modo (born Michel Henri Louis Goi; 30 March 1937 - 25 September 2008) was a French actor and humorist. Modo died of cancer on 25 September 2008 in Vaires-sur-Marne (Seine-et-Marne). Career He is best known in France for having formed in the late 1950s a comedy duo, ''Grosso et Modo'', with actor Guy Grosso. The duo appeared in many movies with Louis de Funès, among which the series of ''Gendarmes de Saint Tropez'', where he will played the role of Constable Berlicot alongside Michel Galabru, Jean Lefebvre and Christian Marin. They were also Laflûte and Quince in ''The Dream of a Summer Night'' by Jean-Christophe Averty. Between 1993 and 1997 he is one of the recurring actors in the television series '' Highlander'' as Maurice Lolande, humorous character characterizing the average French person. The musicarello (; plural: musicarelli) is a film subgenre which emerged in Italy and which is characterised by the presence in main roles of young singers, already famous among their peers, and their new record album. In the films there are almost always tender and chaste love stories accompanied by the desire to have fun and dance without thoughts. Musicarelli reflect the desire and need for emancipation of young Italians, highlighting some generational frictions. The genre began in the late 1950s, and had its peak of production in the 1960s. Giovanni Cianfriglia (born 5 April 1935) is an Italian film actor. He has appeared in more than 100 films since 1958. Giampiero Littera (born 25 June 1938) is an Italian former film actor. Life and career Born in Rome, Littera, while still a teenager, made his film debut in Luciano Emmer's ''High School''. Four years later, after completing his high school studies, he had his breakthrough role as Benito in Mario Camerini's ''Vacanze a Ischia''.
