"La chica de humo" ("The Smoke Girl") is a song by Mexican singer Emmanuel. It was written by Mauro Malavasi and María Lar, and produced by Mauro Malavasi and K. C. Porter for Emmanuel's eleventh studio album '' Quisiera'' in February 1989. Released as the second single from the album, the song became the third number-one single for the singer in the ''Billboard'' Top Latin Songs chart in late December of the same year. During live performances of the song, parts of "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" by C+C Music Factory are integrated during the second bridge. This version can be found on the live album ''Retro En Vivo''. Emmanuel (singer)
Emmanuel (born Jesús Emmanuel Arturo Acha Martinez, April 16, 1955, in Mexico City) is a Mexican singer who debuted in the 1970s. Life He is the son of the Argentinian-born bullfighter Raúl Acha, "Rovira", who appeared numerous times in the Plaza de Acho in Lima, Peru. Emmanuel grew up in Chosica, a town about an hour from Lima, and attended Chosica's most prestigious boarding school, the Colegio Santa Rosa, of the Augustinian priests. His mother was Spanish singer Conchita Martínez. Emmanuel's songs are usually ballads, which became popular during the 1980s. His fourth and most successful album to date, ''Íntimamente'' (''Intimately''), was written by the famous Spaniard ballad composer Manuel Alejandro in collaboration with Ana Magdalena. The Hot Latin Songs chart (formerly Hot Latin 50 and Hot Latin Tracks), published in ''Billboard'' magazine, is a record chart based on Latin music airplay. The data were compiled by the ''Billboard'' chart and research department with information from 70 Spanish-language radio stations in the United States and Puerto Rico. Those radio stations were selected based on their number of listeners, and were asked to report their playlists for the week. This information was then entered to the ''Billboard'' computer system, and points were tabulated for each song. Gianni Morandi (; born 11 December 1944) is an Italian pop singer, actor and entertainer. Early life Gian Luigi Morandi was born in a little village called Monghidoro on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Los Bukis (The Bukis, ''buki'' translates as ''Little Kid'' in the Yaqui language) are a Mexican Grupera band from Ario de Rosales, Michoacan. In 1973, the band was founded by cousins Marco Antonio Solís and Joel Solís. Their first song was ''Falso Amor'' ("False Love") and its style became popular throughout Latin America. Marco Antonio wrote the songs; the album "Me Volvi a Acordar de Ti" in the year of 1986 sold one million records in just a few weeks after its launch, earning the album "diamond" status.
