La Casa De Las Muchachas
''La casa de las muchachas'' ( es, "The House of the Girls", italics=no) is a 1969 Mexican comedy film directed by Fernando Cortés and starring Amparo Rivelles, Enrique Rambal, Maura Monti, Gilda Mirós and Malú Reyes. Plot A Mexican, winner of the Nobel Prize, returns to the town where he was born. The local authorities, in tribute, decide to place a plaque on the house where he was born, only to realize that his birthplace is now the local brothel. Consequently, they try to ask the madame to leave the house with her prostitutes and she refuses, but when the honoree arrives, she and her pupils pass themselves as a widow and her decent daughters. From there, the man involuntarily transforms the brothel into a decent house. Fernando Cortés
Fernando "Papi" Cortés (October 4, 1909 – 1979) was a Puerto Rican film actor, writer and director. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, but he spent most of his adult life in Mexico City, where he died. On 1932, while in New York City, Fernando Cortés married Puerto Rican childhood friend María del Pilar Cordero, who adopted the stage name of Mapy Cortés. The couple soon traveled to Spain with a Cuban theatrical troupe. They worked on the Spanish stage, radio and film until the outbreak of the Civil War in 1936. Fernando progressively began to take a backseat as actor and baritone and focused on promoting the career of his wife Mapy, who became a noted ''vedette'' (showgirl with star status) in Barcelona. Julián de Meriche (born Vladimir Lipkies Chazan; 10 october 1910 – 27 July 1974) was a Russian Empire-born Mexican film actor and choreographer. De Meriche worked as a dancer in European music halls, then moved to Argentina where he worked in cinema in the 1930s. Ada Carrasco (14 September 1912 – 5 April 1994) was a Mexican film and television actress. Early life Carrasco was born in Mexico City, the daughter of Honorato Carrasco, an engineer, and the opera star Ada Navarrete. Florencio Castelló (1905 – 23 August 1986) was a Spanish actor, known for participating in the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, acting alongside personalities of Mexican cinema such as Pedro Infante and Cantinflas. He usually played roles of Spaniard with an Andalusian accent. He left Spain in 1936 fleeing the civil war in his country, joining a theater company in which he performed Andalusian works, which toured throughout Latin America until in 1939 he arrived in Mexico. Antonio Salazar Alejos (13 April 1922 – 25 November 1999), professionally known as Antonio Raxel, was a Mexican actor. He was also a dubbing actor for TV shows, movies, and animation. Education and acting career Raxel was born in San Cristobal de las Casas in Chiapas. Raxel studied his career at the National Institute of Fine Arts under the tutelage of master Japanese Seki Sano.
