La Salle Secondary School
La Salle Secondary School is a high school located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. La Salle is a medium-sized school, consisting of an average student count of 700. The school schedule is composed of four courses and MSIP. The student body is predominantly composed of students from the adjacent suburbs, the military base, as well as many rural communities located along or near Highway 2, and Highway 15. Daily schedule The four courses are the same as any public high school in the Kingston region, with the exception of lasting an hour compared to the usual hour and fifteen minutes. The fifteen minutes from each class is added on to MSIP (Multi-Subject Instructional Period). This creates the five period day. This class is meant as an extra hour to work on class work, talk to teachers and allow students to interact with students from different grades. Athletics La Salle's team colours are black and gold. Matt McQuillan (born 19 June 1981) is a Canadian professional golfer. He has played on the Canadian Tour since 2003, and won one tournament there. McQuillan earned 2011 playing privileges on the PGA Tour with a strong performance in stage three of Q-School, on his first attempt at the finals. Doug Falconer (January 30, 1952 – July 25, 2021) was a Canadian-American film producer, singer-songwriter, recording artist and professional Canadian football player, having played in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Bryan Nigel Allen (born August 21, 1980) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) between 2001 and 2014. Playing career Allen was the fourth overall selection in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft to the Vancouver Canucks. A big, bruising defender with a mean streak, Allen earned comparisons to Derian Hatcher at the time of his selection. Jay McClement (born March 2, 1983) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre. He was originally selected by the St. Louis Blues in the second round, 57th overall, in 2001, playing for the team before later joining the Colorado Avalanche, Toronto Maple Leafs and Carolina Hurricanes in his NHL career. Matt Kirk (born June 30, 1981) is a Canadian football defensive tackle who is currently a free agent. He most recently played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. Taylor Robertson (born September 8, 1980) is a retired Pro Football Offensive Guard. He most recently played for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.
