''La La Peace Song'' is a 1974 album by American singer Al Wilson. It came out in the same year as O. C. Smith's album of the same name. Both contain renditions of the song "La La Peace Song", and both albums were co-produced by Johnny Bristol. A full-page ad for Al Wilson's single "La La Peace Song" appeared on page 75 of the September 28, 1974 issue of ''Billboard''. A section of the page also featured his album. On the following page 76, O. C. Smith's single "La La Peace Song" had just entered the Hot 100 chart at 91. Wilson's album was produced by Johnny Bristol, Jerry Fuller and Steve Cropper. Allen LaMar Wilson (June 19, 1939 – April 21, 2008) was an American soul singer known for the million-selling #1 hit, "Show and Tell". Rodney Ramone Hill Jr. (born December 28, 1979), better known by his stage name Rocko, is an American rapper. Rocko released his first and only major studio album, '' Self Made'', in 2008 through a joint venture with Island Records. Johnny Bristol
John William Bristol (February 3, 1939 – March 21, 2004) was an American musician, most famous as a songwriter and record producer for the Motown label in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was a native of Morganton, North Carolina, about which he wrote an eponymous song. His composition "Love Me for a Reason" saw global success when covered by The Osmonds including a number 1 in the UK charts in 1974. His most famous solo recording was "Hang On in There Baby" recorded in 1974, which reached the Top Ten in the United States and number 3 in the United Kingdom. Both singles were in the UK top 5 simultaneously. Steve Cropper
Steven Lee Cropper (born October 21, 1941), sometimes known as "The Colonel", is an American guitarist, songwriter and record producer. He is the guitarist of the Stax Records house band, Booker T. & the M.G.'s, which backed artists such as Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Carla Thomas, Rufus Thomas and Johnnie Taylor. He also acted as the producer of many of these records. He was later a member of the Blues Brothers band. Jerry Fuller
Jerry Fuller (born November 19, 1938) is an American songwriter, singer and record producer. Biography Jerry Fuller was born in Fort Worth, Texas, United States, to a musical family. He and his brother Bill performed as a duo in their home state, recording for the local Lin label, before Jerry branched out on his own and began writing his own material. In 1959, he moved to Los Angeles, California, and secured a performing contract with Challenge Records. His rockabilly version of "Tennessee Waltz" made No. 63 on the '' Billboard'' Hot 100, and earned him an invitation to appear on '' American Bandstand''. In 1961, he wrote "Travelin' Man" which was originally intended for Sam Cooke. Ricky Nelson recorded it instead and the record sold six million copies worldwide.
