"La La Love" is a song by Cyprus, Greek Cypriot singer Ivi Adamou. It was chosen to represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. The song was released in Europe on 3 February and in China on 14 April. The song was included in the euro edition of her debut studio album, ''San Ena Oniro'' (2011). Background The song was written by Alex Papaconstantinou, Björn Djupström, Alexandra Zakka and Viktor Svensson for the Cypriot national selection for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. The title of the song was revealed in early-December along with the titles of the other two songs. The song would be revealed on 9 January during a press conference of CyBC but was later announced that they would also be revealed three days earlier through the Facebook page of MTV. On 6 January, the song was revealed along with the promotional video clip. Ivi Adamou
Ivi Adamou ( el, Ήβη Αδάμου, ; born 24 November 1993) is a Greek-Cypriot singer. She was born and raised in Agia Napa, Cyprus and currently resides in Alexandroupoli, Greece. Adamou rose to recognition in Greece and Cyprus following her participation in the second season of the Greek version of ''The X Factor'', where she was under the mentorship of Giorgos Theofanous. Right after her elimination from the X Factor, Adamou secured a recording contract with Sony Music Greece. She gained further recognition from her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, where she represented Cyprus with the song "La La Love". Her debut extended play '' Kalokairi Stin Kardia'' (2010) was released shortly after her contract with Sony. Mary Sharon Vaughn (born May 2, 1947) is an American musician, songwriter and producer who was previously based in Sweden. Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation ( gr, Ραδιοφωνικό Ίδρυμα Κύπρου , tr, Kıbrıs Radyo Yayın Kurumu), or CyBC (ΡΙΚ, KRYK), is Cyprus' public broadcasting service. It transmits island-wide on four radio and two domestic television channels, and uses one satellite channel for the Cypriot diaspora. It also transmits on a separate high definition channel. Cyprus participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song "Stronger Every Minute" performed by Lisa Andreas. The song was written by Mike Connaris, who had twice written a runner up in Eurovision selection process for the United Kingdom. The Cypriot entry for the 2004 contest in Istanbul, Turkey was decided on 17 February 2004, through a 10-song national final organised by the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC). To promote the entry, the song was released as a CD single and Andreas performed the song alongside other Eurovision entrants of the year at a show in London.
