La Entrevista ( en, The Interview) is a Spanish-language television news program aired by Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV) in Venezuela. It is presented daily by journalist Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, and the invited interviewee, which are often either political personalities or other journalists. It broadcasts live from the ''Centro Nacional de Noticias'' (''National Center for News''), the same center where '' El Observador'', RCTV's newscast, set is located. Miguel Ángel Rodríguez (Venezuelan Journalist)
Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Echeverría (born 9 January 1940) is a Costa Rican economist, lawyer, businessman and politician who served as President of Costa Rica from 1998 to 2002. He was minister of planning from 1968 to 1970 and minister of the presidency in 1970 during the administration of Jose Joaquin Trejos Fernandez (1966 - 1970); member of the board of the Costa Rican Central Bank from 1966 to 1969; congressman from 1990 to 1993, serving as president of the Legislative Assembly during the 1991 to 1992 period; and was elected Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) in 2004. He voluntarily stepped down from this post to return to his country to face allegations of financial wrongdoing during his presidential tenure in Costa Rica. On April 27 of 2011 he was sentenced to 5 years in prison, but this ruling was later reversed in a December 2012 decision by an appeals court, which found him innocent of all charges. Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV) was a Venezuelan free-to-air television network headquartered in the Caracas neighborhood of Quinta Crespo. It was sometimes referred to as the Canal de Bárcenas. Owned by Empresas 1BC, Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV) was inaugurated on 15 November 1953 by William H. Phelps, Jr. Its radio counterpart was Radio Caracas Radio. On 27 May 2007, president Hugo Chávez decided to shut down the channel by refusing to renew their broadcast concession, accusing the channel of being involved in the 2002 coup d'état in Venezuela, which briefly overthrew his government. The Supreme Tribunal of Justice (TSJ) upheld the National Commission of Telecommunications (CONATEL) decision. RCTV continued to broadcast via pay television on RCTV Internacional. El Observador ( en, The Observer) was the Spanish language newscast of Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV). It is one of the first television news programs in Venezuela. History ''El Observador'' is one of the first television news programs in Venezuela. It has aired almost continuously since November 1953 and was originally known as ''El Observador Creole''. ''El Observador Creole'' Presented by the Creole Petroleum Corporation (a subsidiary of Standard Oil of New Jersey), ''El Observador Creole'' was Venezuela's first regular news program. The face and voice of Francisco Amado Pernía animated the newscasts from Monday to Saturday and Sunday the newscast corresponded to Cristóbal Rodríquez Pantoja. Anna Vaccarella
Anna Vaccarella (born August 31, 1968 in Cagua, Aragua) is a Venezuelan journalist. She currently works in radio show on Unión Radio. Career At 17 years of age, Vaccarella moved to Caracas to study journalism at the Andrés Bello Catholic University, where she graduated first of its class. She began her career in RCTV, where worked as a journalist for 10 years. Vaccarella started as a correspondent, then with only 24 years old, she led ''Alerta'', a newsmagazine television program. She also ventured into radio and worked for 8 years in Kys FM 101.5. After she left RCTV Vaccarella joins Venevisión, where she had the opportunity to work as news anchor together with journalists Unai Amenabar and Eduardo Rodríguez.
