La Briosa
La Briosa (Spanish for The Verve One) is the ring name of a semi-retired Mexican ''luchadora'', or female professional wrestler who was primarily active from the mid-1970s until 2000. She is a second-generation wrestler, daughter of Sugi Sito, and together with her husband, a wrestler known under the names El Mexicano and Halcón 78. Together they have three sons that have followed in their footsteps and also become wrestlers, known as Halcón 78 Jr., Hammer Fist and Combat. La Briosa is the cousin of wrestlers Pánico, El Jabato, and Black Cat, and the aunt of Skándalo and Stigma. She has only worked a small number of matches since 2000. During her career, La Briosa won the Mexican National Women's Championship on one occasion, and was the only wrestler to win the Mexican National Women's Tag Team Championship twice, first with Vicky Carranza and later on with Neftali. Sugi Sito
Francisco Javier Mar Hernández (December 4, 1926 – May 4, 2000) was a Mexican professional wrestler and promoter, known by the ring name "El Orgullo de Oriente" ("The pride of the Orient") Sugi Sito. He was born in Guanajuato to a Mexican father and Chinese mother. In the 1950s, Sito left Mexico and gained a measure of great success wrestling in the United States, especially the Houston, Texas area. In the early 1970s, Sugi Sito and Chin Lee worked for Stu Hart's Stampede Wrestling as a tag team. Sito later returned to Mexico where he became a wrestling promoter. Martha García Mejía (born May 30, 1962) is a Mexican former ''luchadora'', or female professional wrestler best known under the ring name Martha Villalobos an active wrestling promoter, running a company named ''Reyes del Ring'' ("Kings of the Ring"). She is the daughter of professional wrestler Panchito Villalobos and the sister of retired wrestlers Johnny and Bobby Villalobos. In professional wrestling, the independent circuit or indie circuit is the collective noun, collective name of independent professional wrestling promotions which are smaller than major televised promotions. It is roughly analogous to a minor league for pro wrestling, or community theatre, community or Regional theatre in the United States, regional theatre. Lidia Hortencia Rangel Ávalos (born December 29, 1955) is a Mexican former professional wrestler, more commonly known under the ring name Pantera Sureña (Spanish for "Southern Panther"). She has also worked as the '' enmascarada'' ("masked") wrestling characters La Galáctica, La Galáctica 2000, Lady Discovery and Lady Metal during her career. Maricela Neftaly Gallegos Gonzalez (born November 5, 1970) is a Mexican former '' luchadora'' (or female professional wrestler), known under the ring name Neftaly, sometimes spelled Neftali. Over the years, Neftaly worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, Universal Wrestling Association and AAA in Mexico and for Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, JDStar, W*ING and Big Japan Pro Wrestling in Japan. Rhonda Ann Singh (February 21, 1961 – July 27, 2001) was a Canadian professional wrestler. After training with Mildred Burke, she wrestled in Japan under the name Monster Ripper. In 1987, she returned to Canada and began working with Stampede Wrestling, where she was their first Stampede Women's Champion. In 1995, she worked in the World Wrestling Federation as the comedic character Bertha Faye, winning the WWF Women's Championship. A wrestling mask is a fabric-based mask that some professional wrestlers wear as part of their in-ring persona or gimmick. Professional wrestlers have been using masks as far back as 1915 and they are still widely used today, especially in Lucha Libre in Mexico. History At the 1865 World's Fair, Theobaud Bauer debuted the mask, wrestling as "The Masked Wrestler" in Paris, France. He continued wrestling using the mask throughout France as part of a circus troupe in the 1860s before moving on to the United States in the early 1870s. In 1915, Mort Henderson started wrestling as the "Masked Marvel" in the New York area making him the first North American wrestler to perform with such a gimmick.
