LaRue (band)
LaRue was an American Christian music band formed by siblings Phillip and Natalie LaRue. The singer-songwriter duo originated in Nashville, Tennessee in 2000. Phillip was 17 and Natalie 15 when they came out with their first album ''LaRue''. The band worked together for a period of nearly three years before they broke up. According to Natalie LaRue, this was because of family reasons. A few years later both pursued solo musical careers. Rene Francisco Sotomayor, better known by the stage name T-Bone, is a Christian rapper. His father was Nicaraguan and his mother is Salvadoran. Reunion Records is a contemporary Christian record label based in Brentwood, Tennessee, that operates under the Provident Label Group. The label was founded in 1982, by Dan Harrell and Mike Blanton. History The label was formed by Amy Grant's managers (Harrell being her brother-in-law), with the label's original intent to give new artist Kathy Troccoli a home after being rejected by the major labels at the time. ''Reaching'' is the third and last studio album by the American Christian duo LaRue formed by the siblings Natalie LaRue and Phillip LaRue, released on October 8, 2002. Critical reception Steve Losey of AllMusic concludes his review with, "The disc offers tunes that are written from the heart, and Natalie and Philip LaRue wear their hearts on their sleeves."
