LaMonte Ulmer
LaMonte Ulmer (born September 17, 1986) is an American professional basketball player for Orléans Loiret Basket of the LNB Pro A. Standing at 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m), Ulmer usually plays as small forward. Professional career In the 2014–15 season, Ulmer played for KTP in the Finnish Korisliiga. He averaged 17.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game for KTP. For the 2015–16 season, Ulmer signed with s.Oliver Baskets in Würzburg, a German first division team. On 17 June 2017, Ulmer signed with Champagne Châlons-Reims Basket of the French Pro A. On July 9, 2019, he has signed with JDA Dijon Basket of the LNB Pro A. He was named to the Basketball Champions League Team of the Week on January 16, 2020, after contributing 15 points and 10 rebounds in a win over P.A.O.K. BC. The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. Korisliiga
The Korisliiga is the top-tier professional basketball league in Finland, comprising the top 12 teams of the country. In its current format, each team plays all other teams two times in the regular season, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 regular season games. The top six teams advances continues to upper stage and the bottom six teams plays lower stage after 22 games, 5 games at home and 5 games at away versus all other teams in stage. The best two teams from lower group joins to playoffs with upper group teams. Playoffs are played best of seven format, except the quarter-finals which are played best of 5 format. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a "Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season. In addition to the league competition, all BBL teams compete for the German Basketball Cup. Teams playing in the second league (ProA or ProB), or in a lower level Regionalliga, are also eligible to participate in the BBL-Cup.
