LOL (2006 Film)
''LOL'' is a 2006 independent mumblecore film by Joe Swanberg that examines the impact of technology on social relations. It is an improvised film that premiered in 2006 at the South By Southwest Film Festival and was later released on DVD. Plot The movie follows three recent college graduates in Chicago: Tim, Chris and Alex. Tim watches the screen of his laptop as he makes out with his girlfriend. Chris conducts relationships by cellphone. Alex's preoccupation with chat rooms sabotages a potential face-to-face relationship with a girl he meets at a party. Videos called "noisehead" appear throughout the film. Within the film, the character Alex takes videos of people making noises and then edits those videos into music videos. Production Swanberg first thought of making the film in the summer of 2005, originally knowing that he wanted to direct a film that was based on relationships and technology although he had no ideas beyond that. LOL (Blog 27 Album)
''LOL'' (stylised ') is the debut studio album by Polish pop group Blog 27, released in Poland in 2005 and internationally in 2006. Release The album was originally released in Poland on Ala and Tola's 13th birthday on 27 November 2005. The first edition included only 10 tracks and 2 music videos. The second edition, released in spring 2006, included two new songs plus instrumental karaoke version of all 12 tracks. This edition also had the outro in "I'm Callin' U" edited out and sported a slightly different cover. The Japanese version released later that year used an entirely different cover picture. On 27 November 2006, the album was re-released again, replacing the original version of " Who I Am?" with Tola's solo re-recording and adding a guitar version of the song. It came with a DVD containing music videos, making-of material, concert footage, an interview, and more. Lol Coxhill
George Lowen Coxhill (19 September 1932 – 10 July 2012) known professionally as Lol Coxhill, was an English free improvising saxophonist. He played soprano and sopranino saxophone. Biography Coxhill was born to George Compton Coxhill and Mabel Margaret Coxhill (née Motton) at Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK. He grew up in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, and bought his first saxophone in 1947. After national service he became a busy semi-professional musician, touring US airbases with Denzil Bailey's Afro-Cubists and the Graham Fleming Combo. In the 1960s he played with visiting American blues, soul and jazz musicians including Rufus Thomas, Mose Allison, Otis Spann, and Champion Jack Dupree. He also developed his practice of playing unaccompanied solo saxophone, often busking in informal performance situations. Lol Mahamat Choua
Lol Mahamat Choua ( ar, لول Ù…Øمد شوا; 15 June 1939 – 15 September 2019) was a Chadian politician who served as his country's head of state for four months in 1979. He was the President of the Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) political party. An adherent of Islam and a member of the Kanembu ethnic group, Choua came into power during the First Chadian Civil War. The Popular Movement for the Liberation of Chad (MPLT), a Kanembu rebel group backed by Nigeria, along with the central government, the Armed Forces of the North (FAN) and the People's Armed Forces (FAP) were the main combatants. When a peace conference was organized in Kano, Nigeria, the MPLT, which suffered from a lack of members, chose Lol to head its delegation to meeting. Derby Field
Derby Field is a public airport nine miles southwest of Lovelock, in Pershing County, Nevada. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a ''general aviation'' facility. Facilities Derby Field covers 550 acres (223 ha) at an elevation of 3,907 feet (1,191 m). It has two runways: 2/20 is 5,529 by 75 feet (1,685 x 23 m) and 8/26 is 4,931 by 75 feet (1,503 x 23 m). In the year ending June 30, 2012 the airport had 1,295 general aviation aircraft operations, average 107 per month. Two aircraft were then based at the airport, both single-engine. Lol State
The Lol State was a state of South Sudan with the capital in Raga, that existed between 2 October 2015 and 22 February 2020. It was located in the Bahr el Ghazal region, which is in the northwest section of the country. Lol state bordered Haut-Mbomou and Haute-Kotto in the Central African Republic to the west, South Darfur and East Darfur in Sudan to the north, the disputed region of Kafia Kingi to the northwest, Aweil East State to the northeast, Aweil State to the east, Gbudwe State to the south, and Wau State to the southeast. The state was created alongside 27 other states after a decree issuing the creation of 28 states took place. It was dissolved at the conclusion of the South Sudanese Civil War. The Lol River, or Loll River, is a stream in northern South Sudan that feeds the Bahr al-Arab, known locally as the Kiir River. Course The Lol River forms at the convergence of the Chel or Kuru River and the Magadhik River just west of Nyamlell in Northern Bahr el Ghazal. It flows east, passing Aweil to the south, and is joined by the Pongo River to the east of Akun in Warrap state. It enters Unity state just before turning north to join the Bahr el-Arab. Kidz Bop is an American children's music group composed like a music brand that produces family-friendly cover versions of pop songs and related media.
