An LGBT community centre (American spelling: LGBT community center), or pride center (from gay pride), is a building which hosts services for non-heterosexual youth, seniors, adult men and women, and trans individuals, as well as an organization which owns and maintains such a building on a non-profit, non-political basis. The LGBTI+ Federation (french: Fédération LGBTI+), previously French Federation of LGBT Centres (french: Fédération Française des Centres LGBT), is the Alliance of associations and community centres for LGBTI, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Intersex people in France, as well as Associate Members. CenterLink is an American LGBT organisation which was founded in 1994 as a member-based coalition to support the development of strong, sustainable, LGBTQ community centers. Birmingham Lesbian And Gay Community Centre
The Birmingham Lesbian and Gay Community Centre was an LGBT community centre in Birmingham, England. Opened in December 1976 as the Birmingham Gay Community Centre in Bordesley Street, Digbeth, Birmingham, the centre was the first LGBT community centre to be established in the United Kingdom (there had been an illegal one in squat in Brixton, London from 1974 to 1976 ), and paved the way for the establishment of similar institutions in London and Manchester in the 1980s. Atlanta Gay Center
The Atlanta Gay Center was a community center that served the gay community in Atlanta, Georgia (United States). It was founded in 1976. It has since closed and been replaced by the Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Community Center. The center published a bi-weekly newspaper, and operated the Gay Helpline for the Atlanta area.
