General Motors 60° V6 Engine
The General Motors 60° V6 engine family is a series of V6 engine#60 degrees, 60° V6 engines produced for both longitudinal engine, longitudinal and transverse engine, transverse applications. All of these engines are 12-valve cam-in-block or overhead valve engines, except for the #LQ1, LQ1; which uses 24 valves driven by dual overhead cams. These engines vary in displacement between and have a cast-iron block and either cast-iron or aluminum heads. Production of these engines began in 1980 and ended in 2005 in the U.S., with production continued in China until 2010. This engine family was the basis for the GM High Value engine family. These engines have also been referred to as the X engines due to their first usage in the GM X platform (FWD), X-body cars. Laminins are a family of glycoproteins of the extracellular matrix of all animals. They are major components of the basal lamina (one of the layers of the basement membrane), the protein network foundation for most cells and organs. The laminins are an important and biologically active part of the basal lamina, influencing cell differentiation, migration, and adhesion. Laminins are heterotrimeric proteins with a high molecular mass (~400 to ~900 kDa). They contain three different chains (α, β and γ) encoded by five, four, and three paralogous genes in humans, respectively. The laminin molecules are named according to their chain composition. The QLU-11 or LG5 is a semi-automatic grenade launcher developed by Norinco and introduced in 2011. The launcher's designation "QLU" stands for "light weapon (Qīng Wŭqì) - grenade (Liúdàn) - sniper (Jūjī)" in Chinese military coding standard. Description The LG5/QLU-11 can be equipped with free-floating barrel, a fire-control system with a laser rangefinder, thermal imaging capability, and a ballistic computer that gives it air burst capability. The QLU-11 was tested in combat against Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden by Chinese marines. The LG5/QLU-11 is designed for long-range use and so has been described as a "sniper" grenade launcher. Bushveld Igneous Complex
The Bushveld Igneous Complex (BIC) is the largest layered igneous intrusion within the Earth's crust. It has been tilted and eroded forming the outcrops around what appears to be the edge of a great geological basin: the Transvaal Basin. It is approximately 2 billion years old and is divided into four different limbs: the northern, southern, eastern, and western limbs. The Bushveld Complex comprises the Rustenburg Layered suite, the Lebowa Granites and the Rooiberg Felsics, that are overlain by the Karoo sediments. The site was first discovered around 1897 by Gustaaf Molengraaff. Located in South Africa, the BIC contains some of the richest ore deposits on Earth. The complex contains the world's largest reserves of platinum-group metals (PGMs) or platinum group elements (PGEs)—platinum, palladium, osmium, iridium, rhodium, and ruthenium along with vast quantities of iron, tin, chromium, titanium and vanadium. Yonghe Yongping Elementary School is an under construction metro station on the Wanda–Zhonghe–Shulin line located in the western part of Yonghe, New Taipei, Taiwan. Wanda–Zhonghe–Shulin Line
The Wanda–Zhonghe–Shulin line or Light Green (code LG) line ( zh, t=萬大中和樹林線) is a metro line under construction in Taipei. It is managed by the Taipei City Government Department of Rapid Transit Systems and scheduled to be complete in 2025. Following the Taipei Metro's color coding scheme, the Wanda-Zhonghe-Shulin line will be light green, coding the line as LG. When Phase I is completed, the line is expected to carry 270,000 riders per day, and passengers will be able to travel between the terminus at Zhonghe Senior High School and Taipei Main Station in 25 minutes.
