Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics Base (LADOL), officially LADOL Free Zone, also known as LADOL Base or the initials LFZ, is an industrial Special Economic Zone, Free Zone privately owned logistics and engineering facility located on an island in the Port of Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria. LADOL was designed to provide logistics, engineering and other support services to offshore oil & gas exploration and production companies operating in and around West Africa. History LADOL's developer, LiLe, began the construction of the logistics and engineering base in 2001 and commenced full operations in 2006. Amy Jadesimi (born 1976) is a Nigerian businesswoman and the chief executive officer of the Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics Base (LADOL), a privately owned logistics and engineering facility in the Port of Lagos, Nigeria. Background and education Amy Jadesimi was born in Nigeria in 1976. Her father is Chief Oladipo Jadesimi, the executive chairman of LADOL. Her mother, Alero Okotie-Eboh, was a former broadcaster who became a full-time homemaker. Her maternal grandfather, Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh, was a politician who became the Nigerian Minister of Finance. Chief Oladipo "Ladi" Jadesimi is a Nigerian oil businessman and founder of the Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics Base, where he serves as the executive chairman. Education and career Oladipo Jadesimi completed his secondary school education at King's College, Lagos. He graduated from Oxford University in 1966 with M.A. and L.L.B. degrees in Jurisprudence, and began working as a chartered accountant with Coopers and Lybrand in London. Apapa
Apapa is a Local Government Area in Lagos, located to the west of Lagos Island. Apapa contains a number of ports and terminals operated by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), including the major port of Lagos State and Lagos Port Complex (LPC). In its legislation, the NPA itself does not refer to any port called "Port of Apapa", rather it refers to the "Port of Lagos", "Port of Port Harcourt" and "Port of Calabar".
